Should my computer's setting for temp files be low or high?? I just came across the setting in internet options and really wasn't sure what would be the best setting.

Thanks for any help!

Temporary Internet files help pages load faster when you revisit sites. So if you revisit the same sites frequently this will help. It all really depends on how much hard drive space you can spare. If it is tight keep it low and live with longer load times. If you have a large hard drive and can afford the space set it higher.

Also whether you use dialup, DSL or Cable matters because on slower methods such as dialup the time saved on revisited sites will add up.

So the higher the setting, the faster the DIS will load??

So the higher the setting, the faster the DIS will load??

not necessarily. it will reload the same pages you have already seen, but if you want to refresh the page, the speed will be the same.

for example, it will capture the image of the dis at 11:50 am when you visit then, but if you come back at noon and refresh the load speed will be the same as if you didn't have the 11:50 am screen saved.

it helps for sites that are static in their content the most.
