This is a problem at "work" (how weird that is for me to write!!)...anyway......we get emails from companies with different prints of parts. This one person sends them over....I open the attachment and it opens windows picture and fax viewer. We have XP at work, which I am not really familiar with.
Anyway, the images come through as "tiffs" and they take FOREVER to open up. Half the time the program just freezes and I have to restart the computer. They have more than enough RAM and hard drive space. I am just wondering what else can be done to help this along??? Could I "disable" the pic and fax viewer and then another program would automatically open the images??? I don't want to screw everything up for them.
Kinda wondered if the person who is sending the images is sending them through the pic and fax viewer....
Do I HAVE to use Window pic and fax viewer in other words???
Anyone familiar with this?? Thanks..
Lisa
