Computer programmes

Is anyone on here any good at computer programmes or know of a good company that specialise in programmes or setting up programmes?
Here is my problem, i am an asbestos surveyor and i recently obtained a surveying programme which works well enough on site, however i really dislike the data sheets it produces. The PDA that i use on site does export into excel, what i would like is someone to set up so that i export into excel, and the data sheets and register are formed in the process.

my dad does stuff like that, hubby is a contracts manager, and he set up a whole comp programme for his office that they use.
