Computer help - relating to WP program

I was using the WordPerfect 10 that came installed on my Sony computer last night. All of a sudden a screen popped up that said "this application has become unstable" and brought up a wizard. There was no way to enter info into the wizard and the program keeps closing.

I have no other word processing program installed so if this craps out, I'm in trouble. Could it be related to my printer (not new) because frequently when I try to print, I'll get a print error message.

What can I do other than restore my computer to an earlier date?

I don't have the disks because it was preloaded.

Did you try rebooting?

After that try a System Restore:
click START,
Click on Programs,
Click Accessories,
Click on System Tools.
Then Click on System Restore.

You can choose an earlier date. If it doesn't work you can "Undo" the restore.

Yes, I've rebooted. It happened originally last night and I was hopeful that when I shut down and restarted this morning the problem would be gone. Nope.

I really don't want to do a restore unless absolutely necessary because I will lose the stuff I was working on last night. I guess I stand to lose it either way though...

I'm really hoping for some magical way to just stabilize the WordPerfect.
