Ok heres the problem--I am not computer literate----There I said it----Now I need to find out how I can check to see what sites were visited on my computer----The history and temp internet files as well as the cookies are being deleted when they get off the computer so I'm wondering how do I found out where they've been when I can't use those options??? Please I could really use the help!!

Is this your home computer that kids are using? If so, tell them they can't use the computer anymore if they continue to delete that information.

With Internet Explorer up, on the tool bar at the top, click on "Tools", then click "Internet Options".

On the general tab (main screen) you'll see the buttons to clear cookies, clear files, set the history tracking (number of days) and delete history. The delete buttons are the ones someone is clicking on just before they shutdown the computer. There are "nanny" type programs you can get that will track that information and protect it from being deleted but you can just simply tell the person(s) using your computer to stop deleting that stuff, or else!

You can also password protect your Sign-in on the system.

Then set up accounts for others to use and don't give them Admin functions .

Change the IE settings to not auto delete these things (they won't be able to change now).

With MSN premium I get a full report of DD's computer usage when she uses hers or logs on to mine.
