DH & DD2 got complimentary passes from City Hall during our last visit because they weren't able to enter the parks on their last day. We are planning our next trip for January (Star Wars 10K).

1. Does anyone know if we can add a day to the complimentary passes? We plan on going into the parks for two days.

2. If not, are there any sources for discounted 1 day tickets? It's probably been 20 years since I've purchased one-day tickets. They are pricey!

3. We have the opportunity to bid on 1day hopper tickets through DD2's school auction. Depending on the final bid, we could get a good price on 1day hopper tickets. However, they are all adult tickets. DD2 is only 7 - can she use an adult ticket to enter the park? Is there any issue with that? Current bid is $300 for 4 pack of adult 1 day hopper tickets. We only need two so we'd split the pack with another family.

Do you have the actual tickets or a voucher? Complimentary tickets say "Not upgradeable" on the back of the actual ticket. The voucher will say "No Cash Value" in the fine print at the bottom. They won't stop a child from using an adult ticket. Depending on what the final bid goes for, it may or may not be less than a child ticket.

You could buy 2 day, 1 park per day tickets, and use the comp 1 day to hop on 1 of your 2 days.

It should say very clearly on the tickets whether they can be upgraded or not. It will say something along the lines of complimentary and in smaller print will say something about being non-upgradeable. Usually tickets you win will say this, but since you got them from City Hall, it's hard to say without looking.

There aren't really that many great options for single day discounted tickets. You can check Last Minute Travel, Getaway Today or AAA (if you have a membership).

There's no issue with a child using an adult ticket, only the other way around. Hope this helps!

I took a picture of the back of the ticket this morning before heading out for work. It says "1-Day Park Hopper Complimentary" but it doesn't say anything about not upgradeable nor does it say "no cash value". They are printed on the same exact printed paper as our regular tickets from that time. I'll try later to figure out if I can post a picture.

You should call them and ask if they can tell from the bar code if there's any upgrade value. I have a few older ones and in the bottom right it's printed "NON UPGRADEABLE, NON REFUNDABLE, NO CASH VALUE."

Do you know the best number to call? Should I just call the number on the Disneyland website. I'm just concerned that not all CMs may have the correct info. Would hate to hear that they are upgradeable but then find out at the parks that they are not.

Since the ticket is "complimentary" is has no value, it cannot be upgraded. The price difference between "Complimentary" and a $200 ticket is $200.

One thought would be to buy a 2 day pass for one person and the other person uses the 1 day tickets.
