Complimentary Use of Robes - WL

:lmao: :lmao:

Disney is charging MORE then comparable hotels... Do you really think that removing robes will result in a keeping the price down? That is NOT what Disney does. What they would do is remove the robe and continue with the current pricing strategy.

I don't blame them, the place is full. I just won't pay more for less!

I have had the opportunity to stay at a lot of "TRUE" Deluxe hotels. They charge less and PROVIDE MORE. Only at Disney is it OK to expect less! Do you really think that robes cost that much? If they are selling them at the DISNEY gift shop for $100.... figure they COST less then $50. Laundry costs on them would be minimal since Disney does it's own laundry and you don't get a new one every time... they last quite a while.... So over the course of a year it's probably very small for each room.....

I am SO with you on this! Years ago all deluxe resorts had big terry cloth robes in all rooms with logo's from that resort. Apparently they decided the guests would still pay the same without replacing them when they became worn. I shake my head while reading posts from folks begging for less and happy to receive it. Grrrr. I loved those robes and they were always clean.... back in the day when people cared to make sure they did a good job at WDW. Since then I've always called and they deliver them to the room. Recently they are thin, wrinkled, nasty little robes that are discolored. This year I take my own.

OMG! I totally agree with OP! With deluxe hotel prices, the least they could do is let you use a robe for your stay!

The robe in the BC Marketplace was the softest most dreamiest thing EVER!! I have been kicking myself for not buying it, but at $99, it isn't easy. When I go back in January, I already have my pennies put away for one. I'm not going home without one this time!!

WOW :scared1: $99.00 for a bathrobe, that is alot of $$$$

We've had robes twice at the Coronado--our stay in 2007 and our stay this year. I gather in 2007 they did it as a "happy birthday" as we were there for my 50th; this year we had them as we were upgraded to a suite. I wear one at home, but I could care less if I had one on vacation (and DH never wears them). I get up in the morning on vacation, shower, get dressed and head out for coffee while DH showers. And by the time we get back to the room at night, we are either going to bed to start the next day fresh or we are at the pool and I have my terry bathing suit wrap which I can use.
