Complimentary Night - GF or Poly!

Ok so this isnt much of a dilemma but I am deciding between the Grand Floridian and The Polynesian for our free night. I am swaying more to the the GF but would like some reviews from anyone that has stayed in either of these beautiful resorts.

As it is only 1 night we really want to make full use of the resort facilities, as they are both close would we be allowed to use both during the day?

Any advice or recomendations would be great

the polynesian doesn't offer king beds

We decided to stay at the Polynesian for sentimental reasons. Both my DF and I love Walt Disney and the Polynesian was one of his original resort ideas. The Polynesian was built to echo Adventureland and the Contemporary was built to echo Tomorrowland. The Grand Floridian was built many years later to reflect Main Street USA. We both love Adventureland and so the Polynesian was a natural choice for us.

We are staying at the Poly for our PS and then the GF for our free night and a few more after the wedding. Since you are overseas, are you coming to the US for a PS?--You could do it that way! If not I vote for GF all the way, it is the same feel and decor of the WP so it might make the feeling last a little longer? Who knows! Either resort is a great choice!

I looooove the Poly. But then again, the Poly is more for adventurous types and that is more what DBF and I like... plus, last time we were there we discovered they sell the Dole Whips in their counter service! & I love Ohana so the Poly would def. be my choice. It's also very near the WP. You can look out your window and see it! (depending on your room, obviously)

It's hard to believe, but the GF is actually discounted more and more often than the Polynesian, so theoretically a free night at the Poly could be a better value.

We chose the GF because we had very little interest in it and would never actually pay to stay there. It was fun to get the whole honeymoon concierge treatment just once, but our stay had some problems (due to the person in the next room) that kind of soured us on the place.

Well, I had a chance to stay there again last week, and I have to say you really do notice a difference in the service at the GF. We've had great service at the Poly and other Disney resorts, but at the GF they seem to go above and beyond even Disney's high level of service. Basically anything you ask for, they will try to do/get/find out for you—even if you're not staying on the concierge level.

I vote GF... I wanted to stay there for our free night but DF felt it might be too stuffy for us... but one day we will try it!

I would also say GF for a one night honeymoon experience

If it sways your decision we are staying at GF so you'l be sharing that concierge lounge with us!

We chose the GF--- I won't be able to afford to stay that OOP for a VERY long time, so it's my one chance!

My heart is going for the Grand Floridian, I know we could never afford to stay there any other time so would be lovely to experience it! We are actually going for the day after our wedding (7th), that way we get most of the day and night there, as apposed to going straight from our wedding when we will probably be shattered!
