My parents received some complimentary MYW single day tickets as part of an "I'm sorry" from WDW during their last trip.

Can they transfer them to my DH & I to use on a future trip that we are all going on together? If so, how do you do it?

Thanks!

If the tickets aren't linked to anyone, just link them to who will be using them. If the tickets are linked, there should be a transfer button next to them in the website (link yourself to your parents account then they can pick you to transfer them too)...

Now a lot of tickets like that you can't adjust so do you happen to know the terms of that ticket? does it happen to be tickets from one of the rained out MNSSHP parties last year?

Thanks! On the MDE website, they are linked to my parents. I do not know the terms of the tickets. They were given to my parents after they spent almost half the day at Guest Services assisting them with an AP mess up.

On MDE, they are called
1-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket - Complimentary

If we are able to transfer them, will these mess up our FP+? Or are they totally separate from that?

From the Ticket Area, Reassign the tickets to you and DH.

They don't mess up FPs. FPs are based on the total number of ticket entitlements and the FPs link directly to the MDE Profiles not a specific ticket.

Thank you!! So, I can still reserve FP's on the date specified, even though I currently have no tickets in my name on my MDE?

FPs are based on the number of ticket entitlements. You need tickets linked to you or you won't be able to book any days of FPs.

The 1 day Magic Your Way Complimentary Base Tickets have been transferred to my DH & I in MDE. MDE says they are reassigned to our names, so I'm assuming they are ok now.

I am calling Disney in a few minutes to ensure I can use them on a weekend as well as weekday (first day of our trip is a Sunday).

Just need to purchase tickets for my 5 year old.

Once her tickets are purchased, it sounds like we are all set for making FP+'s right?

After purchased and linked.

You can practice booking FPs for a weekday and a weekend day. If the system allows the FPs, that means the tickets are good for all days of the week and you won't have to waste time calling Disney.

They are all linked in MDE.

Thank you for that tip. So, I can book a FP for any day (like today?) even though my trip is booked for December?

Yes. Valid tickets linked in MDE allow FP booking.

Go to the FP area of MDE and book a few. :) Just be sure to Cancel each one.

So, it worked when I tried to make a FP for just me. I just tried again to make FP's for my whole family who will be traveling with us for our actual trip, but it wouldn't allow us to make them for my parents, who have AP's.

This is the error message:
To continue, please address the issues that apply to these Guests.
Have a vacation package? Looks like you’re early. Please come back 60 days prior to check-in.
Resort reservation within the next 60 days? Check that it’s linked to your account.
Theme park tickets? You need to link them to your account.
No theme park tickets? Purchase admission to start making FastPass+ selections.
Child under age 3? No ticket or FastPass+ is needed.

What should I do?

If your parents have APs, are your MDEs linked correctly for sharing? If not, you can't book for them.

Can you clarify what you mean? My parents are linked in my Family & Friends list. Should I do something different?

Thank you so much for helping me!!!

How many days (per person) worth of theme park tickets do you need for this trip?
Using the free tickets "correctly" can save you some money.

Try going into your parent's MDE and booking FPs for tomorrow. It should work if their APs are linked in their account and the APs haven't expired.

Your MDEs are linked correctly because you transferred the Comps to yourself.

We have 8 complimentary 1 day tickets. We are going to the parks for 4 days. I transferred 4 to myself & 4 to my DH. Should I do anything different?

With that # (8) of tickets, that's the best way to use them! :thumbsup2

I just went into my mom's MDE & my 5 year old's tickets are not showing up in her MDE. I just purchased them today & they are showing up in my MDE. I cannot figure out how to link them to my parents' account. There is no ticket number listed.

Still trying to contact them by phone to see if their AP's have expired.

Your DD's ticket will only show up in your MDE because you manage her.
