Hi all
I'm hoping to book Aulani at my 7 mth window shortly and whilst looking at my points for that, I've been planning my subequent trip to WDW too, as we've promised to take family members and I wanted to check I have enough points (with borrowing) to do exactly what we want to do.
Having seen the 2016 point chart and knowing already that we want to stay at our home resorts on our next trip, I am totally sorted in my head how I want to 'spend' the points, but wanted to run my thought process past you all if that's ok, as I'm worried I might have misunderstood how one time UY points work and also that I might confuse the CM!
Can I do the following:
For an August 2015 trip can I -
Use 33 current AKV points from Dec 2014
93 borrowed AKV points from Dec 2015 (I have 150)
100 borrowed BLT points from Dec 2015 (I only have 100)
And then pay for 6 one time points (it will be the 7 mth window) to make up the 232 points I need for a reservation?
I know it sounds complicated, but this equation will leave me exactly right for my next vacation and enable me to book what I want at my home resorts using the home resort advantage next trip.
Is this acceptable? I'm assuming I will need to do it over the phone rather than online & if so, will this be too complicated for the CM's? (I have a hard time verbalising my reasoning, so am hoping they will just accept my madness without questioning my weird plan!
)
Many thanks for any advice
