I was given an iPad for classroom use. All of our iPads were originally synced to our directors account. They came preloaded with lots of apps, but to add anything new, we had to send it to out director and have her sign in and add it. It also had to be synced to her account/computer for management. Our devices have since been released to us. I created my own account and have been adding apps like crazy. I added all of my classroom music to my new account via my desktop. But in order to transfer it to my iPad, I have to sync it to my account/desktop. When I attemp this it says "device synced to another account. All will be lost - yada, yada, yada." Any way around this so I can keep everything the way it is and add my music?
Complicated, I know. Anybody out there fancy themselves an iPad genius?

You can't sync an iPad, iPhone etc to multiple accounts. Once you sync it to your account, all of the apps she purchased will be deleted. You will have to repurchase anything you want to keep.

It won't delete the apps already on them, but you can't update them without her password. My school issued iPad was the same. It drove me crazy that iI couldn't update those apps, and many of them eventually stopped working correctly because they needed to be updated. I finally just deleted those apps and repurchased with my account, especially the free ones.

So if I tell it to sync, I won't lose the apps I purchased under my new account?

THanks. I was afraid that was the answer!
:scared1:

It will wipe out the items on the device. If you have purchased them you can repurchase but they will be free. Sometimes activating the computer gets around this error.
