Completed!!

definitely use those swaddle me blankets...we went and bought extra because they worked soo well. Caleb sleeps awesome in them. We don't even bother with all the typical reciving blankets anymore...will probably just wait until it is warmer out and it can just be used as a light blanket.

Sorry to hear about the bedrest:sad2: but that means more time to Dis :goodvibes I bet you can't wait to greet your beautiful daughter.:lovestruc Take care of yourself and little Ava.

I haven't posted in quite a long time, but I just wanted to check in and say hi :)

I'm glad to hear everything is going well for you -- other than the bedrest.

I was put on bed rest at the beginning of Sept (I was due Sept. 17th), and my little girl was born via c-section on 9/26.
I can't believe she's already 5 weeks old. :)

Best of luck to you with the rest of your pregnancy! I know you are anxious to meet little Ava!

Thanks!!! Unfortunately it means less time to DIS though... I'm supposed to be in a reclined position at least half the day.... :headache: I'll be here though!

***BABY UPDATE***

Just wanted to give you guys a little update. I saw the doctor a few days ago and things are looking better. We also had another ultrasound and Ava looks amazing! She's weighing in right at 4lbs. She breech right now still - baby booty down, feet & head up - VERY uncomfy for me! Hoping she'll turn soon!!

Now for the best news!! My doctor feels it may be best for us to schedule an induction because of my distance from the hospital. I am about 1hr 30min away from the birthing center where I'll be delivering at. My husband works as a corrections officer and it takes him about 1-1.5hrs to get home. So that's a minimum of 2hrs and max of 4 for me to get to the hospital with my husband when I got into labor. So, after discussing all this we decided a scheduled induction would be best so as to avoid complications. We have a date!! I am scheduled to be induced at 6am December 30, 2008 :goodvibes I am so, so, so excited! If my blood pressure continues to rise though they may bump the induction date up by a week or two!

Here's a few pictures from our ultrasound - the tech gave us a few 3D shots that are amazing!!!

Good luck with the induction... I don't want to scare you, but I was 'induced'... 2 days in the hospital and I went home with no baby. I had pregnancy induced hypertension, so about 2 weeks before my due date I was sent to the hospital. They were ready for me to have a c- section after 2 days, and I told them no! Long story short, I ended up being 9 days over due and having a scheduled c-section.

I didn't want to rain on your parade, but I'll indulge... Here's a pic of my princess. This was at 3 wks, and she's now 6 wks old!

And, lastly, she is taking her first Disney trip in February! DH and I are taking advantage of the buy 4 get 3 offer, so we're booked for the Pop, 2/3-2/10!

Those 3-d ultra sounds are cool! It must be nice to have a date, but are you more impatient with the waiting because you know? You're almost there!!

My OB warned me of failed inductions and to be prepared, but I'm hoping it will work for me.... Thanks for the warning though! I'm sorry you had a hard time!!

Your daughter is adorable. I just happened to notice that your daughter was born on the same day, 9/26 as my daughter. She is 15 now, but I can remember that day like yesterday. Boy do the years go fast. :)

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes

And yes, it is true what everyone says about labor -- it sucks, but it's not long after when you see your child for the first time that you forget everything horrible that happened...

Okay, maybe not forget it, but it certainly makes it worthwhile!

Hey, i've been lurking around since you found out about your princess. haven't been able to be on too much the last few months. Wish i had because our little princess is due jan 3rd right along with y'alls. :cutie: :cutie:

***BABY UPDATE***

Sunday night I wasn't feeling well - feeling very achy and crampy but didn't worry too much because I had an OB appointment Monday morning at 9am. I went in for my OB appointment feeling 10 times worse and had an NST done and found out that I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes apart. I had a cervix check and I am 50% effaced and 2cm dilated. So my OB send me to the birthing center and they were finally able to stop labor after 4 hours and thankfully I am back home but on complete bedrest now. Just shower, potty, and eat then back to bed. My goal is 36 weeks and my OB says she doesn't see me making it too far past that since it took so much to stop my labor this time. So it looks like my little girl is impatient and wants to be an early December baby instead of a January baby!
