I LOVE LOVE LOVE Garden Grill! I am definitely planning a meal there I just cant decide which! It is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am so glad you got to experience it!

Of course breakfast was my first time there but I would 10/10 recommend! It was SO good!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 2)

You Can't Throw Mickey Waffles In There!

Well Disers, today is a very exciting day. Not only is this the update where you finally get to find out what my TR title is all about but today is also very exciting because I JUST BOOKED A QUICK TRIP IN NOVEMBER! I could not be more excited! In fact, I am on hold right now trying to book dining reservations. I can never get mad when they always play the BEST music. Anyway, Rachel's Mom, Rachel, myself, and out friend Marilyn are spending two days at WDW on November 14-16. I cannot wait to see the beautiful Christmas decorations again! Make sure you come back later this year because I will definitely have more vlogs and a TR! Marilyn has never been to Disney so we are SO excited to show her what it's all about.

Anyway, enough about future trips, let's go back to January!

So, we were stuffing our faces as you do at a table service meal. Chip came up and was his mischievous self

It doesn't get any better than this, folks

Pluto came by next! We told Pluto that we train dogs as a hobby and he got so excited and wanted me to scratch his head

And this is where the magic happened! So Dale comes over to our table and I'm having a conversation with him and I said something that I think accidentally ended up spending like an innuendo (I'm so mad I can't remember what I said)! But thats why I'm covering my mouth in the pictures below

So then I stepped back and took the camera from Rachel so I could get her picture. In this short moment, Mickey had come by and was standing by our server who had been clearing an table. Mickey grabbed a Mickey Waffle off of the plate and threw it to Dale! You can see it poking out of his hand in this pic.

Dale then proceeded to THROW THE MICKEY WAFFLE INTO THE LAND.

And here we see a Mickey Waffle gracefully careening through the air

We were a mixture of shocked and hysterical

We looked over the edge of the rail and sure enough, there was the Mickey Waffle

We were SO dead! After that, Rachel wanted a picture on her phone with Dale but he insisted on taking a selfie!

He had us in STITCHES! IT was one of the best character experiences I have ever had!
After Dale left us, we ordered more Mickey Waffles and bacon because why not?!

And as if we hadn't had enough carbs that morning, our waitress brought Rachel out a birthday cake. It was SO GOOD THOUGH.

I was like a mindless monster at this breakfast, I think I felt like I needed to eat $40 wroth of food and that was a HUGE mistake. I just kept eating and eating!
Meanwhile, Pluto and Dale came back for more pictures!

So I would say this meal was a HUGE success. My only complaint about the whole thing was that I literally ate myself sick (more on that later) which was completely my fault. But as far as scoring goes...

Food: 10/10 That cinnamon roll is what dreams are made of
Atmosphere: 10/10 I LOVE the idea of the rotating resturant and that you get a glimpse of the Living With The LAND ride.
Service: 10/10 Our waitress was attentive and hospitable
Experience: 11/10 AMAZING character experiences, we couldn't have asked for anything better!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 3)

Bad Decisions...
After paying for our meal at Garden Grill, we headed downstairs to Soarin' and hopped in the 10 minute line! I already knew I had a horrible stomach ache coming on. I usually don't eat a lot of junk food in a day and so exhaustion combined with eating junk food all week and then being super full, it was just a recipe for disaster. I was happy to sit down once we got into the ride. I loved it just as much as the first time I rode it, I can't wait to ride it again in November, I just loved it so much better than Soarin' Over California!

We exited the ride and headed in the direction of Spaceship Earth, I forced Rachel to stop for a picture with this moment thing (I'm honestly not sure what it is) but it documents a lot of humanity's greatest discoveries. One of the plaques says "The Alphabet -The Phoenicians" If you've ever ridden Spaceship Earth, you'll understand Rachel's shirt and why I stopped for a picture

Here's a little idea of how the wait times are in the first hour at EPCOT in January..

I always make it a point to make a different face each time I ride this I gotta say, SE is another quirky Disney ride that has a very special place in my heart

After getting off SE we headed on down to the famous SE wall for some pictures

We stopped in at Club Cool to have some more soda despite my stomach ache. It seems I don't make the best decisions while I have Disney on the mind

After we were satisfied with that, we ran over and hopped on The Seas With Nemo And Friends

Personally, I like this ride much better than The Little Mermaid ride in MK it's just cuter!

Once we got off the ride, we came out into the little aquarium area and found there was a diver cleaning out the tank. For some reason both of us were pretty fascinated by him doing this. He had a CM standing outside the tank lowering the water level as he went.

We left the building and walked back over to the World Showcase because we wanted to go do the paint-by-number mural. The CM's handed us our paints and brushes. The containers had the number on them that corresponded with the squares on the mural.

They told us we could paint 3 any 3 squares with our number on them. They also told us that it takes about 3 days for the mural to fill up before they have to start a new one.

After we finished, we threw away our supplies and were handed a postcard with what the finished mural would look like

I loved it just as much as the first time I rode it, I can't wait to ride it again in November, I just loved it so much better than Soarin' Over California!

You seem to be in the minority that prefers it over the old version. I can't have an opinion because I actually never tried the old version because I was scared it would make me motion sick, but I tried it for the first time on our last trip and I loved it! So now I can't wait to do it again!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 4)

The Best Smelling Pavilion
We had reserved about an hour- two hours on our last day to finish up everything we needed to do in the World Showcase. We had already visited Canada the previous day. I had to stop in at the UK pavilion because obviously I was actually supposed to be British . Anyway, I always love visiting the cultural-representative CM in the UK pavilions! We spoke to one girl who stamped our pages and she was too funny! We asked her what she thought about living in America and if she had done all of the American-y things. We told her she HAD to visit a Chick-Fil-a and a Wal-Mart before she went back to the UK.

I forgot to mention but instead of getting KidCot Duffy's stamped they had special pages for the Festival of the Arts to stamped. The CM's would put a stamp in the little areas but then they would flip the page and draw something cute in the back.

I thought the pictures they drew on the back were SO cute. I actually framed the back side and it's still hanging up in my room!

After leaving the UK Pavilion, we decided to stop at the "living painting" PP stop and took some shots. Basically, Disney had set up life-size famous paintings that you could walk into the back and pose as if you were in the painting!

Apparently the sass was strong today

We moved on over to France and got our papers stamped. Can I just say that France is the best smelling pavilion of them all

Moving on to Morocco, we stopped and looked at the art booths the had set out. I loved all of the amazing pieces they were selling.

When we made it to Japan! I decided to grab my sister the socks that they sell there, she LOVES to wear them with her Chacos and they always have fun sock designs! I took a picture of these but I actually ended up getting her a navy pair that have whales on them!. I don't seem to have a picture of what I got her but she absolutely loved them!

We found more living-art photo-ops set up, I honestly thought these were so fun!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 5)

The Most Sugar-y Post
Somewhere between the American Pavilion and Italy, we spotted these gigantic donuts. They look normal-sized in this picture, but they were MASSIVE.

Speaking of Italy, here's our fun living pictures from that area

We moved on to Germany and HAD to make a stop at Karamell Kuche because Rachel wanted some popcorn to snack on. I didn't get anything, but I definitely just admired all the goodies!

The CM saw Rachel's "It's My Birthday" Button and upgraded Rachel's small Carmel popcorn to a large- that was so nice!

We continued around the countries, with nothing special to report. We did stop back in at Club Cool because Rachel wanted another slushy! Them CM had a special cup already prepared that had "Happy Birthday" written on it!

I didn't want a slushy but I DID need some caffeine so I stopped in and grabbed myself and iced coffee.

After that, we headed on over to the express bus stop and sat in the sun while we waited for the bus-after being so cold the whole week, the sun felt SO NICE.

We were walked on over to the bus after about 10 minutes of waiting. Here's a picture of us on our completely empty bus. When we told our bus driver where we were from, he got so excited. He said he had never driven anybody from where we lived.

When we got to MK we walked right over to The Carousel of progress. That huge coffee was no help on waking me up, I felt exhausted and had a stomach ache. I was more than happy to sit down at COP for 20 minutes and relax. Unfortunately, all it did was cause me to be more nauseous. Rachel wasn't feeling that well herself so we both decided to take the rest of the day slow. Out fast paced trip had definitely taken its toll but it also had its benefits because we basically had nothing left in MK that we wanted to get done.

While we were in Tomorrowland, we thought it would be fun to do the Tomorrowland Speedway. Rachel went up and made a DAS and the CM told us to come back in 30 minutes. We decided to make a bathroom stop. We tried to go to the bathrooms by the Merchant or Venus but there was a line out the door! I know that the bathrooms by the Purple Wall/Tomorrowland Terrance that are always empty.

When we came out, we ran into a huge group of training CP's who were being given a tour. We saw all of their new pins and went up to ask if we could trade. It was super fun to see how the head CM was training the CP's on how to make a pin trade. They were all so nice and got really excited when I told them that I had applied for the Fall DCP. They asked me what my top roles were and asked me if I had my phones interview. Unfortunately, I didn't make it in this round but that's okay, everything happens for a reason, right?

January 30th (Part 6)

Moving People, Moving Places
After meeting all of those CP's, we decided to go on The Peoplemover while we were still waiting for our DAS window to open for the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Gosh, this is just the best ride! It was defiantly welcome for our sore legs

I feel like when they created this ride, they were just asking for this to happen.

Once we got off the ride, it was finally time for the Speedway! I have to say, I feel so bad for the CM's who have to work at this ride, none of the guest know how to drive the cars or listen to their instructions.

I thought it was the best idea to let Rachel to drive the car even though it was on a set track, I still didn't trust myself

It seemed that there were a lot of guests who were driving around hadn't driven a car before because they kept slamming in their breaks which lead to us slamming on our breaks. It was a mess

We did survive though ('twas a miracle), and we decided to walk on over to Fantasyland.
I stopped at a cart by Storybook Circus and grabbed a chocolate dipped banana hoping it would make my stomach feel better.

We stopped in the Big Top tent and looked around at the merchandise they had inside! I always love to admire all of the sweets they have displayed in there. I think it's kind of funny that there's basically a Confectionary in the back of the park just in case you are too lazy to walk to the front to get your sugary food .

We continued out closer to New Fantasyland. We stopped at the hut outside Ariel's Grotto because Rachel thought she had read that there may be a Moana themed pineapple dessert there! We asked the CM there if they had it and she told us no. She was super interested about it though because she was a CP who lived in California and she thought they had the Moana dessert at Disneyland. After we talked about that for a while, she noticed Rachel's birthday button and got really excited. She made some magic and gave Rachel a free frozen lemonade! it was SO good!!

Speaking of buttons, we had to go to the Tangled bathrooms so Rachel could have a little photoshoot with her ParkBound Tangled button!

Then we took more pictures because obviously you can't go to the Tangled bathrooms and not take pictures.

We had put it in our plans to go see Tom Sawyer Island but we walked up at 4:00 JUST as it closed for the day

I Love Me Some Puns
Even though we didn't get to enjoy Tom Sawyer Island, we did get some cool pics from a far.

It was kind of a bummer that we didn't make it on the island but if we had, we may have missed the most punny thing I've ever seen.
It's a TRADING POST. Get it?

We stopped and chatted to the CM standing there, talking about CP's and our trip- they were all super nice!

We made our way our over to Adventureland and found that Pirates of the Caribbean was actually operating (which it never is when I'm there) AND it had no wait

When I stepped on the boat and sat down but when I leaned against the back of the seat, I smashed the finger of the guy getting in behind me (WHOOPS). I tried to apologize to him but he didn't speak English from what I could tell. Hopefully I didn't ruin his experience, he seemed not to be too upset about it

I have forgotten how cool Pirates is, I actually loved it! I need to remember to go in it more often!

Next up was another Adventureland favorite- The Jungle Cruise!

We decided to mosey on over to Fantasyland. I will say that it was kind of nice to take Magic Kingdom slow and relaxed.

We decided to go on the Winnie The Pooh ride because it's just so flipping adorable

This day seemed to fly by-although I guess that's pretty expected for the last day of your trip! By this point, it was already late afternoon/evening and we couldn't really think of anything else we wanted to accomplish.
So what do you do in MK when you don't want to see any more attractions? You shop, of course!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 8)

On The Hunt for Veggies
On our way back to Main Street USA to go shopping, we were interrupted by the Move it, Shake it Parade. I have never seen this one before so we enjoyed sitting down for a little bit and waving at all of the characters.

After the floats passed us by, we walked into the Emporium to pick up some souvenirs for people back home. We were trying to find the 2017 notepad for a friend. We found this adorable stationary pad too!

After we picked it out, we just looked around for a bit. Rachel felt an episode coming on so we actually just sat down for about 15 minutes in a quiet corner of the emporium . While we were hanging out, I realized how many stickers we had compiled over our trip. We saw some kids in the shop and we tried to give them away but the kids were a little sketchy about it

Once Rachel was feeling a little better, we decided we should eat some dinner. Rachel had been to Cosmic Rays on her last trip and really loved the chicken she got there. We were both in the mood for some real food. After a week of living off of crackers, corn dog nuggets, and Starbucks, we wanted vegetables . Rachel found an table that was right in front of the Plaza restaurant. We figured as long as nobody stood in the walkway in the hour before Once Upon a Time, we thought we may have a pretty good view. So while Rachel sat and held the table, I offered to go over to Cosmic Ray's and grab food.

I don't think we timed it very well because I think everyone else in MK also was eating dinner at this time, haha! I stood in line about 30 minutes before I had food in my hands. On the bright side, they were giving out free cookies that night so I grabbed us some of those. They were peppermint sugar cookies, they must've had mix that was left over from all of the Christmas parties. Either way, I was excited about it

I didn't quite occur to me how long of a walk it was with a heavy tray full of food back over to the Plaza. Some how, I didn't spill of drop anything

SO I know I said I wanted vegetables but somehow I ended up with a kids meal with Mac 'n Cheese, French Fries and carrots. Anything that was healthy was super expensive so I just went for a kids meal that was under $6 and promised myself I would eat veggies when I got home .

Rachel was smart and actually went for grilled chicken and steamed veggies. This plate will set you back $14, but I think she enjoyed it still

After we enjoyed our food, we just sat and enjoyed the atmosphere on our last night in Disney. We also collectively decided that we weren't going to make it until closing, we were both so bone tired and just didn't feel great. We also still wanted to hit up the hotels on the monorail loop. So after Once Upon A Time and Wishes, we would head out.

This is my go-to at Cosmic Rays. It's expensive, but it's quite a bit of food and good quality. Glad you both enjoyed your meals. Your carrots kind of count as vegetables. They have vitamin A! The mac 'n' cheese...maybe not...oh well!
