Hi again,

I'm doing a bit of looking around for some friends of mine who are going to be in the area between 3rd-10 April after driving down from Miami after Wrestlemania.

They aren't huge Disney fans but will be going to the parks, I had a look round and the Hilton Bonnet Creek was coming up at £781 for the week on Complete Orlando whereas it was nearly double that on their own site which seemed odd to me.

Are CO viewed as relatively safe to deal with does anybody know?

If it was me I'd book it given its only a month or two away but I'm just a bit more cautious when advising someone else.

We are booked with them for October/November, found them good to deal with and the price was very competitive. Proofs in the pudding when we go later in the year. They seem to be generally well received on these boards.

Complete Orlando is the tour operator arm of Attraction Tickets Direct which has been around for years and is a reputable company. Of course, it doesn't necessarily follow that they couldn't run into troubles, but that could be said of any business. They're ATOL bonded and I'd be as happy to book with them as anyone.

There is nothing unusual about UK agents selling rooms at half direct price, we often get far better deals in this country.

To be honest I've never priced up the hotel as personally I prefer Disney hotels but they may prefer something a littler 'classier'

We went with CO last november and their customer service is the best I hv recieved. Nothing is too much trouble. I deal with Kerry and Marie and we are currently lookin at bookin againI just need to hope the flight prices dnt go up now they hv come down £1000 in the last month for our dates. They can hold the VA direct for a week and BA for 2 weeks. Roll on payday.

Yes booked with them in Nov for our trip this year, slightly cheaper than direct with Disney but no messing with Cashback and using gift card.

3 things on the downside using CO, you don't get extras, preferred viewing etc (something we never use) and even if you increase the value of the holiday CO still charge you the £35 amendment fee, I rarely change a holiday once booked but its a fee to consider if both CO & Disney are similar price. Last year I added a night for £100 with a Disney direct booking, that would have cost £135 with CO. Lastly the 12 digit number from CO does not work for online ADR's, the 3+5 from Disney does.

Last year no-one had problems with CO & ADR's, this year totally different unfortunately, no-one can get the 12 digit code to work, omly the new format of 3 letters & 5 digits works but CO can't get this format only direct bookings with Disney (and some say Charter travel)
Disney released discounts & free DDP in April last year, maybe same again this year.

Complete Orlando are an excellent company, never had any problems with them, staff very good and they allow you to pay over payments with no extra charges or credit card fees. We have used them 3 times for our DW holidays...

We've booked with the wonderful Maria at CO for the first time this year. So far we've been VERY impressed. Unless these £35 charges are well hidden on my online "invoice" we've not been charged and we've swapped and changed lots of times - originally booked just accomodation, then added flights, then added universal accom, then cheaper flights came out, so Maria moved everything for us..... not been charged that I know!!!

To sum up CO has been a wonderful company to deal with; helped by Maria especially (no commission or relation!)

Kerry did say today tht if the flights were cheaper when we payed the deposit a week after holding she would just rebook doing a new booking. They did reserve our seats last year straight away with virgin as we couldnt do it till our eticket was sent.We knew within 24hrs what seats were booked as well.
The extras dont bother us as dont use them. I just find the convenience of paying a deposit and not all upfront more beneficial to us and convenient. Not for all I know. The best western orlando gateway is the hotel we have decided on for 4 nights at around £145 for the 4 nights offsite.
reviews look quite good and is sufficient for our universal and seaworld days.
Child ticket 14 day pass is £215 with CONeed to check if this is about right as only need the one ticket.

Any amendments made by you affecting accommodation, car rental and/or park tickets will incur an amendment fee of £35 total. If the value of the booking has increased to more than £500 from the original booking, the £35 amendment fee will be waived.

Some people have got away without being charged, some a reduced rate but majority get charged the £35, they are quite strict with it. There was a 6 page thread about it on another forum recently, CO themselves posted saying "We appreciate you are ‘adding’ to your existing booking however any change does incur additional work & time" I believe in this case they reduced the fee to £15.

Because of the fee but more for the inabilty to make online ADR's I will go back to booking direct with Disney next time unless there is a big saving.

It is a bit annoying with the inconsistency over the £35 charge. I paid it yesterday to add an extra park ticket and an extra name onto our villa at SSR for may. I expected to pay it and have no issues with it but it's the face that some seem to get it and some don't. (not to start a discussion like the other one!)

I think CO's customer service is excellent with Kerry helping me yesterday and doing everything she said she would do. They worked out a few hundred pounds cheaper than direct and I will look at them next time again no problems

Ahh - I wonder if it is because each change we've made has added more than £500 each time has meant that we haven't been charged!

Unfortuntely not, this was a response from Kerry at CO.

Thank you for coming back to me

I can confirm that the format of 3 letters & 5 numbers is only applicable when booking through either the Disney Travel Company or DVC direct. The 12 digit reference is the only one you require.
Failing that you will have to call Disney to make the ADR’S required.
