Hi!

I am going to book next year's OKW in the next couple of days. Complete Orlando are beating my Disney UK quote by £200 +.

My understanding, if the worst should happen, is that if I pay using credit card I could claim back my money, but would risk losing my free dining if the offer is no longer running.

Are there any other disadvantages that I might have missed?

Look like a good company and have been helpful.

Also, if Continental do pull out of Belfast as they are threatening to, the moeny I save will help towards flights!

Thanks for your time :)

I booked with Complete Orlando last May for holiday this September.

So far (touch wood) everything is going well.

They have sent me my Disney Reservation number, which works as i have booked all my ADR's from it.

And I have even allocated it my disney account and it bring up all the details.

I am due to pay the remainder in a few weeks time.

Also Complete orlando do not charge for Credit Card transactions which is a good thing as it give you a bit more protection.

I would imagine (My assumption) if the worst happened Disney would honour the booking conditions (free DDP) and you had to pay them direct. (And then claim back from CC company the unforfilled transaction by Complete Orlando.) If you get what i mean

If the free DDP offer had expired I doubt Disney would honour your booking.
This was my only concern about booking with CO for this August. If we had been going alone I would not mind losing the free DDP and re-booking offsite but we are going with relatives on their 1st visit so for an extra £75 per family I decided to book direct with Disney.
Only my take in it, I could be wrong, I just didn't want it risk it for sake of £150 or £25pp.

Been following CO prices, threads, comments for at least 2 years now they seem a very good company, hope it continues.

Wayne, What i mean is i would imagine that Disney would honour the booking that the travel agent made including the whole deal. As Disney would just be paid by customer rather than Travel Agent.

After all Disney will likely to have lost money if travel agent has done under and want to get back some money.

Disney get money for room, plus all the addtional money visitor will spend
Customer get holiday they booked.

Everybody is happy.

I fully understand what you mean but personally i would not expect them to honour it if the free DDP offer is over, yes if the offer is still available but not if its ended.
Its a 50/50 call, they certainly don't have to honour it but they might as a good will gesture, I hope we never get to find out but its the reason I booked direct with Disney as I doubt they would honour it.

Thanks guys. That is why I booked direct this year too but savings are calling my name!!

Got an email from Complete Orlando wondering if I knew that the OKW discount and free dining was running for July 2012 too. I had missd this and it should allow us to get the three full weeks! Can't find it on Disney uk site so that may be the decider.

Thanks again.

Complete Orlando are an excellent company we have booked with them this year, prices are the best we found and no credit card charges also there staff are very nice and helpfull....

Do disney price match?

My 2012 dates with complete Orlando are £2233 or £2321.89 with disney (taking into account 3% quidco) - so £88 difference.

May give them a ring tomorrow (have worn DH down to a point where he says I don't care just book it!)

Someone tried a while back and where told no, they don't price match.

Hi
We booked with Complete Orlando for our trip later this month and they have been great. I did worry about what would happen if they went bust and rang and asked them. I queried whether if they went bust we could 'take over the booking' and basically pay the balance again (and then claim back off insurance) and was told yes - although was strongly reassured by them that the business is going really well and really not to worry,

I phoned disney this morning - no they do not price match nor could they offer any discounts.

We are repeat customers and I told them i had my card ready to book!

So I didn't book.

On a 16 night holiday disney are £103 dearer than complete Orlando even factoring in quidco.

Will speak to DH tonight - not sure what to do. I understand would get money back if complete Orlando go under but there is a real risk we would lose the deal. I do feel a lot more confortable booking a holiday for Oct 2012 with disney direct but £100 is £100 or $155 dollars :)

I know exactly how you feel, I took weeks to decide for this August, more than once had CO booking page open and ready to book but just couldn't do it. I kept thinking £75(£150 for both families) is a nice saving but then I thought we are spending around £12,000 so whats £150 for peace of mind?

As a side I am still battling with Quidco, usually no problem but because 2 bookings went thru together the 2nd was treated as a duplicate order (even though cost was different) its now 7-8 months since I booked, one lot of cashback no problem other still not paid.

Try not to be so negative about complete orlando. I know after CC going bump and other companies folding its a worry but as florida is so popular and they seem to have good prices and so many people on here have used them I am sure they are fine.
Only natural to be cautious. Reading things like this makes me worry. I saved over £300 for my holiday. Fingers crossed:thumbsup2

I'm sure complete Orlando would be fine - don't want to worry anyone - I know a lot here on and the dibb are booked with them.

I'm cautious by nature though.

So am I:hug:but because I was worrying about booking seats(the beginning of the year) and hadnt got the cash I wanted to secure a booking and CO do the deposit option plus VA wanted £22oo odd for flights compared to £1653 with CO. Normally book direct with VA and through disney so deep down I am worried until I get those tickets in my hand and on that bird:scared1:

That would be me:)

Disney completely refused to entertain price matching and I recall the CM if anything putting me off booking with CO. She advised they never sell out their rooms for less than they charge direct and therefore I should question how CO could offer a package less than Disney:confused3

She advised me to be "careful" I recall her words been.

Again, like Wayne, I decided to pay the extra and have the security of knowing that my booking was safe, however I agree with others the savings are tempting and I'm sure I will check CO again in the future :thumbsup2

A very good sales person at Disney then - as they secured your booking by making you feel there was something wrong with Complete Orlando! I think it is bad form for people to use those tactics. In the same way that people get cash back from Quidco - it is to do with commission. Disney give commission to those agents referring the booking so if you buy via quidco they give money to them who in turn pass it on to you etc.... Due to exchange rates etc..Complete Orlando are able to offer a competitive price.

I too found CO to be several hundred pounds cheaper than Disney and I was able to secure my booking with a low deposit - then also buy the flights through them at an excellent rate with just a deposit. Having preciously booked with Virgin as a package I felt confident having read these boards that I could 'DIY' a bit more.

Complete Orlando were fantastic - not one problem at all for our October 2010 holiday at Old Key West.

They were helpful, friendly and I got loads of freebie voucher books - many of which I gave away on here as I would not be using them.

We have booked again with Complete Orlando for our trip to Florida this year.
