I've read over several of the beginner threads and I still haven't picked up all the acronyms (so bear with me). I'm hoping to go sometime in March or April but I'm not wanting to get swallowed up in spring break teenager madness. It's our first trip and we're going to stay at a Value Resort since this trip will really be all about the parks. I have a friend who can get us hopper tickets at a huge discount through the military so I'm not adding tickets to my package and therefor can't get the dining package added. Any tips on when's the best time in April to go/not go? Will it be warm enough for swimming too?

If you could do it I say last week of April into first week of May. Allot slower and weather is definitely warm enough to swim. I think thats my second pick for when to go, well besides second week of December. Good luck!

That's awesome...I just checked some quick figures on travelocity and it's much cheaper to go during that time frame too!!

Is your military friend going with you? If not, you cannot use those tickets. The military person MUST be there to activate the tickets on the first day. After that, you can be on your own.

Eek...yeah just learned that today and that really blew my budget out the window. Any suggestions on who to use for booking my trip?

I used Small World Vacations for our upcoming trip and have had a great experience with them so far. They can help you get the best possible deal. Also, if you don't want to get a dining plan, you can save a lot of money by ordering kids meals instead of adult meals. The kids meals are often plenty of food for the typical adult appetite, in my opinion. Plus, they come with a drink and dessert. Good luck and have fun!

We had great experiences with Dreams Unlimited - went with them for two consecutive years. Would still be using them but DD is now a CM so we follow her lead.
