We are going to Florida in January for 2 weeks and staying at Pop Century.

I am SOOOO confused about all this booking and advanced dining bookings. Am I too late? Our children are 9 & 7 - the only dining experience we really REALLY want to do is the Lilo & Stitch Breakfast.

We do not want to spend the entire time rushing round making sure we are at the right place at the right time for dinner but be more relaxed - our children eat like sparrows so big meals are not to essential. However, we would obviouldy like to eat a few nice meals whilst there and do some of the dinner shows.

Is there a straight forward guide on booking these things? can it be done online - I don't have a credit card so am concerned I cannot even book some of these things anyway.

Please help me!!

Welcome along zippy !!

Firstly, I would not really be too bothered worrying about dining plans etc.
A lot of people do like to do this, but we don't. However, if you really want to do the Lilo & Stitch breakfast go ahead with that one.

You can have some lovely meals without worrying about booking Disney.
There are literally THOUSANDS of good restaurants around. I totally agree with you that the last thing you want to do is rush around making sure you are at the right place at the right time. I can't advise about dinner shows, though, as we have never done any. (Usually just not enough hours in the day for them).

Also do not worry about not having a credit card. A friend of mine went out for the first time this year and he didn't have one either. He said there was no problem with booking anything at all.

You can email me through this site if you would like any advice.

You do need to book your Lilo and Stitch brekkie asap though, other good suggestions are brekkie at Crystal palace (Pooh and Tigger) and depending on the ages of your kids, lunch at Sci-Fi Diner is fun for us Brits who will never get to do a drive in movie! I'm sure someone will have the Dining phone number to ring up and book your meal (Can't be done on-line I'm afraid) and you don't need a credit card to book. Good luck:thumbsup2

Hi and welcome :)

You can book most dining reservations with no need for a CC, but it may be handy to get one before you go just for emergencies, even if it has a low credit balance. To book you need to call 001 407 939 3463 (407 WDW DINE) after 12 midday our time. As your trip is less than 180 days away you can call now.

Also on site is great as you are so close to WDW and all of the fun :)

Claire ;)

disney dining number for dining reservations:

00-1-407-WDW-DINE
or in numbers thats:
00-1-407-939-3463

Doing a selection of character meals is handy as the kids get to meet the characters, take photo/videos and collect autographs which saves time in the parks. Another tip is if you get the last booking times for character meals, you get longer with them and if it is an evening meal you get the park virtually to yourself on the way out - great for photos.

:welcome:

I really wouldn't worry about dining reservations, we hate being tied to reservations and just eat as the mood takes us. In january it's going to be pretty quite anyway apart from the weekend of the 18th as this is Marathon weekend.
Only make bookings if theres anything special you want to do, I would book the Lilo brekkie as the character meals to tend to be busy.

As for dinner shows we have only done the one at the Poly and it was Ok, we never really find the time to do these to be honest.
If this is your first trip I would skip this as im sure you will find a ton of things to do once you get there.

Never underestimate how exhasted you will be. :scared1:
