*COMPLETE!* Dining Report 12/3-12/10 DxDP 70 SNACKS!

All caught up!

I LOVE your first pic of the Biergarten interior. It really gives a great sense of what the restaurant is like - I don’t think I have seen one before that gave that kind of perspective. I am always really impressed at all the positive reviews for this - the food does not really appeal to me a lot, but I am kind of tempted to book an ADR one of these trips and give it a try just based on how much almost everyone seems to enjoy it.

Love those slushies from France. ;)

Those pineapple fritters just look WEIRD! :scared1:

I was excited to see you went to CG - I haven’t read tooooo much about it since the changes. You certainly had a lovely view, and the etch-a-sketch idea is quite different and fun, but I can see how they would entertain for long the way a good old coloring book and crayons can. (This is an overall complaint I have about WDW restaurants - they bring the kids crayons, but the kids’ menus have very little to color, and they are the same everywhere - not exactly going to hold their interest!) The charcuterie plate looks really good; I’m sorry to hear that your dad didn’t really like it, especially since he is someone who enjoys things like that usually - how disappointing! Yay for double sushi!!! the entrees look and sound great! I just love the sushi dessert, and the Sundae Sampler looks perfect!

50s looks really good, we haven't done that one yet.

Did anyone got pot roast at LTT lunch? I'm curious to see how it compares to 50's.

I've had both and both are yummy. They are slightly different with 50s have veggies cut smaller and the meat is more shredded than chunks. At LTT the meat/veggies are chucks. I prefer LTT a little bit more because I like the more chunky style (like mom makes) but as I said both were very good to me.

Looking forward to reading more of your reviews! These are really great and I love the pictures!

The following morning we had a "before park opening" ADR at Tusker House for breakfast. We arrived around 7:40 and were let right into the park. We made our way to the back of the park.. it was a nice leisurely walk... we could tell it was going to be a hot day already. We checked in and waited about 10 minutes before we got up to Donald. By this time it was already 8:10am. We got our pictures taken and were led to our table inside.

As we were walking in and getting the buffet explained to us, the mouse himself appeared:

I've only ever eaten in one area and we were brought right back to that same place.

I like this buffet but I don't love it. Let's be honest, I made this reservation so that we're all the way in the back of the park by the time it opens. It's not very helpful since they started letting people in earlier now but we didn't have to face that long walk without having anything in our bellies.

The food was okay.. as usual. There's a lot to pick from but it's mostly your standard Disney breakfast buffet.. a few different things to choose from but mostly the same.

Now that juice is just fantastic. I wish I could take it home with me. I drank about 3 glasses. Yum!

The characters started making their rounds...

They did not do the parade which I found odd. Normally Daisy leads the parade around with all the kids playing instruments. It was almost 9am and I knew there would be people in the park already so we asked for our check and were on our way.

The cost of this meal would've been $135.21.

I give Tusker House a 5/10. I'm not thrilled by this place... stuffed characters don't do it for me (even Mickey, I know).. but it does get us in the park and fills us up. I'm just not huge into breakfast I guess.

Loving your reviews so far!

Thank you!!!

We reached Dinoland and went into the gift shop there... DD found a lollipop and since DS had one the day before, she got to get one. We also got a Coke to split between everyone... it was super hot at the moment!

We had a 1pm ADR for Yak & Yeti. We checked in at 12:50 and only waited a few minutes before they called us to be seated.

I had been to this restaurant once before with my DS when we were there for our trip in October 2011. We had a great meal and knew that my dad & sister would enjoy it. It's one of those "sit back and relax" meals. We were seated on the first floor (which I was thankful for.. no stairs) back in the corner with a window view of the outside. I felt like a drink so I ordered the Yak Attack.

One thing, Disney does not skimp on their alcohol. It was very yummy till I got down to about 1/3 of it left... then it was just too much for me.

Remember that virgin strawberry daiquiri from Cali Grill the night before? DS ordered one at Yak & Yeti and his wish was granted. DD got it too and loved it.

Both my dad & sister ordered the Wonton Soup - pork wontons, clear chicken broth and vegetables $4.99 for their appetizers. I tried talking them into the fried green beans but neither one was having it. They loved the soup.. I tried a bit of my dad's and it was good but not something I would order. I'm not a huge soup person.

I really wanted the green beans but I had them last time and I felt like trying something different. I got the Seared Ahi Tuna - chilled, sesame-encrusted ahi tuna, wasabi aioli, and sweet chili slaw $11.99. This was different from anything I've ever had. I wish it was warm. I did enjoy the spices and the taste of it... I kept working on it throughout the entire meal. It was good but next time, I will get my green beans again.

Entrees..
Dad ordered the Tempura Shrimp - chili plum sauce, coconut-ginger rice, stir fried vegetables $19.99. I was a little jealous of this. I love shrimp. It was a very neat presentation and very tasty. My only complaint is that the shrimp are a little on the small side. If they were larger, this would've been a must order for me. Dad loved it.

My sister ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork - Tempura chicken or pork, ginger, garlic, bell peppers, pineapple $18.99. She got the chicken. I'm surprised that she ordered this considering she's not very adventurous with her food choices but she seemed to really enjoy this a lot.

I got the Seared Miso Salmon - miso glazed Atlantic salmon, jasmine rice, baby bok choy and shiitake mushroom stir-fry $24.99. I'm a big salmon fan and this was fantastic. It comes on a HUGE plate and I was able to finish about 3/4's while still working on my appetizer. I would order this again. It was much better than the mahi mahi that I had last time.

The kids got chicken tenders. One came with fries and the other with carrots. Both had applesauce. The kids loved them.

Dessert..
Dad ordered the Mango Pie - shortbread cookie crust, fresh whipped cream, raspberry sauce $6.99. I love mango so I was jealous of this... despite his little secret, he enjoyed this and finished almost all of it.

My sister got the Chocolate Cake - Chocolate pudding cake, raspberry sauce $6.99. She says this was the best dessert of the entire trip.

I ordered my usual... Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle $8.99. I mean, how can you not? It was just as good as always... loved every bit of it!

The kids each got ice cream sundaes. They had a little bit of caramel on them and a cherry on top. Loved these!

Before we left the kids had to get a picture with this guy/girl/thing???

We really enjoyed this meal. I would give it a 8/10. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice as well. Unfortunately, I think everyone ate a little too much :(

The total would have been $167.41 had we not used the dining plan.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, wish I had some of those cream cheese wantons right now. Love your reviews so far.

Loving your reviews so far! Your kids are ADORABLE! Can't wait to keep reading :)

We had a 6pm dinner at Boma. We arrived a little early after resting at the resort for awhile. The tree in the lobby was just stunning.

Here's a view of Boma from up top:

I love Boma. I have a history with this restaurant and it's nothing but good. This would be my 5th time dining there. My mother in law has pretty much perfected the Seafood Gumbo that they serve. She makes it every year for her harvest party in November so I had just had the pleasure of eating it the month before. I still could not wait for the real thing.

We checked in and took the buzzer with us to the little breezeway right before Jiko. There are 2 benches in there and I love how it's so much quieter there than right outside Boma... we had a seat and relaxed for about 10 minutes then our buzzer started going off.

We were seated right next to the beginning of the buffet line. Perfect! It was a great meal once again. I wish my dad & sister would've saved more room... they barely had a plate full and they skipped on desserts (ugh, I know!) Here are pics of our plates:

The famous seafood gumbo:

I really enjoyed the salmon once again:

I used a cilantro dressing for this salad and it was fantastic!!! The soup was the Chicken Corn Chowder which I enjoy almost as much as the Seafood Gumbo (and remember, I'm not a soup person at all!) I also really enjoyed the hummus... I think it was a roasted red pepper if I'm not mistaken:

The dessert plate:

The zebra domes just don't do it for me. I taste coffee in them and I'm not a fan. The mini pumpkin tortes were very yummy and so was the strawberry domes. I think I drank about 4 glasses of milk with this meal and I ate more than everyone else combined.. yikes!

Service was great (as it always is) and the food was fantastic. I give this place a 9/10. It's consistent and I love having an option like this when we go to WDW.

Our bill would have been $190.22 (that seems really expensive!)

Love your reviews, we leave in 27 days and are eating at many of the places you did, so happy to get a sneak peek!

Lucky!!! I wish I was in your place right now... we are facing -65 degree weather here tomorrow. Schools have been cancelled. Disney will be 125 degrees warmer than us tomorrow :(

Yes, we attended this wonderful event. I can't wait to write my trip report just to write about this great night. I took my son to this and we had the best time ever. I think it's one of my favorite nights ever in Disney.

The popcorn, cotton candy & pretzel table:

More goodies:

Tables were set up from Toy Story Mania back to the the Backlot Tour entrance. It was such a great event and I was so happy to be a part of it. I wish we could attend every year. The Dis really knows how to put on a party :)

Morning came too quick... we were off to MK (not the park because of the parade being filmed that day). We took the monorail over to the Grand Floridian for our breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

This is my favorite breakfast buffet in all of Disney. I love the strawberry soup, lobster benedict and pecan rolls. Some say it's loud in there but really, in Disney, what isn't loud? The characters are great and the service has always been wonderful for us.

We arrived about 30 minutes early, I checked in and we got our pictures taken then were seated almost immediately.

We were put in the back room, right inside the doorway which was a nice spot. We could see when the characters were headed our way.

The food was great as always. I could've gone for another plate but no one else was so I decided to save my appetite for lunch.

The characters were just fantastic! We love the Mad Hatter so much. DD wore an outfit with Alice, the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and a few other characters on it and they just flipped over it.

Tigger photobombed the Mad Hatter's picture.. haha

The service was great. We would've paid $109.65 for this meal and I think it's worth every penny. We've eaten here on 4 out of our 5 trips. I'd like to do dinner again next time just for a change of characters.

I give it a 8/10. I'm not a huge breakfast person but if I have to eat it, they better have something that I'm really going to like.

Just subscribing! Great pictures and descriptions :) I've scheduled a dinner at Boma in a few weeks, and I'm hoping my sister agrees to keep it, as I haven't been there yet and all the reviews are so great.

Loving your reviews, we get full on the regular DDP so would burst on the deluxe :rotfl2:

I hope your sister agrees too! If we had a Boma nearby (lol), I would be broke and 500 lbs. Every time I go, I find something new that I love.

Thank you! We come close to bursting but that's the fun in it! lol...
