*COMPLETE!* Dining Report 12/3-12/10 DxDP 70 SNACKS!

My husband just said he wanted to do 'Ohana last week so I've booked an ADR for our next trip! Can't wait to try the dessert!!

Yummy...looking forward to our trip to Ohana in March!!! :cool1:

Lucky! I wish there was a place like that locally! Enjoy your meal in March!

My husband just said he wanted to do 'Ohana last week so I've booked an ADR for our next trip! Can't wait to try the dessert!!

Yay! The dessert is seriously amazing. I feel bad about missing out on it now but I know we'll return someday!

I had a hard time finding pictures of the cookies and treats offered at MVMCP. Soooo... look no further. I took pictures! During the party, these are offered for free.. as often as you'd like at all different locations throughout the park. We ate at the Tomorrowland Terrace. We got apple slices, apple juice & sugar cookies. We took the leftovers back to the hotel for snacks later on. The apple juice was good and the cookies tasted freshly baked... very yummy. Honestly, better than I expected.

I love those cookies at the Christmas party!!

I'm a huge fan of snickerdoodle but I didn't think cookies would really tempt me much at the party since i'm more of a cake or cupcake person. But oh my goodness- I took a bite of one of those cookies and thought it was just ok. But each bite just kept getting better- I think I ate 5 or 6 of them which is rare for me :rotfl:

I totally get it now :)

Honestly, I wasn't too excited about the Christmas party. I love the Halloween party because of the candy. Free cookies just didn't seem like that big of a draw to me but they were sooo good! And the apple juice just hit the spot :)

We had an 8:05am reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table. I just love the early "before park" reservations. IF you're going to do CRT, I truly believe this is the ONLY way to do it. We arrived at MK and were let right into the park. We took a few pictures in front of the castle and made our way to the check in.

Pretty wreath hung up...

We got our pictures taken with Cindy. They now include 2 photos with the Photopass package (now that it's changed to Memory Maker, I don't know what's going to happen). We got a group photo and one with just the kids.

We were seated in the middle "area" and before I forget, we got to see a marriage proposal while we were there! The champagne was flowing.. lol! The platter of pastries was brought out... yum!

Dad ordered the Steak and Eggs - grilled filet mignon on a mild Chipotle-caramelized onion frittata served with our signature rosemary-lemon roasted potatoes. He absolutely loved it. He said the steak was perfect.

My sister ordered the Caramel Apple Stuffed French Toast - decadent French toast stuffed with sweet cream cheese, baked with caramel apples and drizzled with Calvados caramel sauce. She was not feeling well but really enjoyed this. She said the pastry was light and the apples were yummy.

I ordered the same thing I did last time we were here. The Lobster and Crab Crepes - warm cheese-filled crepes topped with spinach, sauteed lobster, and blue crab meat with a poached egg perched on top and draped in Hollandaise sauce. I was not disappointed again. It was fantastic. Having seafood for breakfast is something I wish I could do everyday (and not gain any weight!) This dish is definitely filling!

The kids were both given the "traditional" breakfasts... they loved them and ate most of it.

The characters were great. Snow White loved DD's bow. She also asked if we saw Dopey last night at the party.

Sleeping Beauty wasn't too talkative but she was the best Sleeping Beauty we've ever seen at Disney.

Ariel was hilarious. She asked where we were from and then she said she didn't even know what a "Wisconsin" was. Really great interaction.

Jasmine. She didn't talk too long with us unfortunately. We were most excited to see her. She's never been there when we've gone before.

All in all, this was a great way to start off the day (and we were at the back of the park when it opened). The total cost would've been $219.35 without the dining plan. Yikes!

I would rate this place an 8/10. As long as you have the dining plan, this is a great place to use those credits up at. I don't think I would pay out of pocket to eat here ever again.

We've never been to CRT. I'd love to go but the price is so high and we pay OOP. It's still on the radar as a possibility for May as our wedding theme was castles and we will be celebrating our 10yr anniversary.

It would be perfect for an anniversary dinner (especially 10 years! Congrats! Ours will be next year!) This was the 4th time I ate at CRT and 3rd time for breakfast. We did dinner (and paid OOP)... it was fantastic but even more than the outrageous breakfast. If you've never been, definitely go for it. It's magical!

Oh my. Your son is so adorable all dressed up. We rarely see little guys dressed up. Too cute!

Aww, thank you! He sure did get a lot of attention from the princesses bud oddly enough, no kisses this time! I think he was happy about that.. lol.

I really wanted another Dole Whip... just can't get enough of these. Aloha Isle had ONE person working in it! I did not realize that the line was actually to the right so we stood there for quite some time before a nice lady came over and told me that they only had one window open. So we went over to stand in that line and she offered to let us go in front of her! THIS is the Disney spirit! Loved it and I thanked her over and over again.

I wanted to try something a little different but couldn't quite give up on the pineapple so we did a half and half of pineapple and orange. It was really good. I still prefer all pineapple but it was nice to try it. The kids devoured it while we sat watching people getting sprayed by the camel.. lol

Those breakfasts at CRT look delicious! I haven't been there yet. I'm interested, but we pay OOP, no dining plan, so it is a bit pricy. Your soon looks absolutely adorable all dressed up!

I'm hoping to finish this dining report by the end of the week so bare with me! I'm really itching to get started on my trip report :)

We had lunch reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern (I think this is my favorite restaurant in all of MK). I've been here twice before and both times got the pot roast so what do you think I ordered this time around? :confused3

We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation (perfect timing considering DS had his Pirates League appointment before lunch). I checked in and gave the state in which we were from. The kids hurried over to the coloring table.

Christmas Tree at LTT:

Our table was right on top of that little staircase, next to the windows... so nice!

We were seated within 10 minutes. I ordered a yummy root beer in one of those mugs. Someday I will buy one of those!!!

My dad ordered the New England Clam Chowder $7.49. He didn't say anything bad about it but nothing good either. Seemed to be pretty standard.

My sister ordered the Declaration Salad - field greens and vegetables tossed with your choice of our tavern-made dressing or roasted garlic buttermilk dressing $5.49. She told the waiter to pick her dressing and I believe he brought a strawberry vinaigrette with it. She really enjoyed it.

The kids had apple slices for appetizers.

All three of us ordered the New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables $18.99. It was a huge hit with everyone. My dad absolutely LOVED it and is still talking about it to this day.. it was so hard to stop eating it but I knew I had to save room for dessert.

DD got the macaroni & cheese.

DS got the pasta & sauce dish.. he was not impressed with this (neither was I)..

My dad skipped out on dessert. My sister got the Martha Washington's Cake - a slice of rich chocolate cake, layered with a liberating chocolate coffee icing $7.99. She loved it.

I ordered the famous Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. Honestly, I didn't think it was that great. The cake was dense and not very flavorful. The ice cream was good but it's hard to not screw up ice cream. I would not order this again. Next time I'll go for the Johnny Appleseed cake like I did the last time I was there :)

The kids both got ice cream with sprinkles.

On our way out, I snapped a picture of the gingerbread masterpiece in the waiting area.

DS left his treasure box from Pirates League on the coloring table and realized it later on. Luckily, it was still there (just full of crayons from other kids). DD forgot her magic wand from CRT at the table and we realized it later as we were waiting for the Hall of Presidents. We ran back over to LTT and they had it behind the desk :)

All in all, a great meal at LTT. Our total would have been $130.41. I give this place a 9/10. It's a great place to have a very filling meal and a wonderful atmosphere. The price isn't that bad either (according to Disney standards).

Later on we were awaiting the opening of Be Our Guest (we had a 4pm reservation) so we took a stroll over to Gaston's Tavern. I just had to try LeFou's Brew.

Unfortunately Gaston was not outside :( Everytime we walked by we did not see him... just bad timing I guess.

So we got a LeFou's Brew, a Coke & a chocolate milk... all snack credits.

I've had the Butterbeer from Universal. I prefer that over this. This was just too sweet. The topping was good but you barely get a taste of it before it's gone.

The décor in this place is spot on with Gaston. Loved it.

Your breakfast looked great and I love that your son was all smart in a tie - so cute :)

So excited to eat at CRT again! The food was yummy! I miss LTT! I loved that toffee cake but I have heard it can depend what it tastes like- sometimes it is still served cold!

Thanks for posting this! I Loved your CRT pictures! Were going in Sept 2015 and I know my girls will want to eat there, but we`ll likely be on the qs dining plan, so this would be out of pocket for us. Your pictures do help convince me tho! Your son is too cute all dressed up!! I`ll for sure have to find something to dress up my little guy!

Finally, it's BOG time!!! I made my reservations at 180 days... 6am (central time) on the DOT and the ONLY available day for Be Our Guest was my +6th day! I got a 4pm time slot... hoping that would be early enough that we could still “handle” the dessert party later on (yes, if you haven't figured it out yet, this is the day of 4 ADR's!)

We had about a 15 minute wait before we could “check in” and while we were waiting, I counted 17 people who came up to the podium to ask if there was any way they could get into the restaurant that night without a reservation. They were all turned down . This is THE hottest place in all of WDW.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I just didn't think I would be all that impressed. The photos that I had seen didn't really do anything justice. My dad & sister really had no idea what they were going into. I don't think either of them has ever seen Beauty & the Beast so the whole thing was lost on them. DD & DS were both very excited about this place. They were reaching the “overtired” stage so they were starting to get a little goofy while waiting...

Once they started taking people in the gates, it was only a few minutes until our buzzer went off. As we walked through the doors, we were greeted by the entire waitstaff applauding. It was a great way to start off this experience. The ballroom blew me away. It IS gorgeous. Disney did a great job with this and it really takes you into the movie.

The chandeliers are BEAUTIFUL and we were seated right underneath the largest one in the middle of the room. Our waiter told us that it was the best table in the house and I believe it. It could not have been more perfect.

As my dad & sister took some time to sit at the table and relax, I took the kids on a little tour of the restaurant before it got really busy.

We had a great waiter. He was very excited about working in this restaurant and you could tell it. It was so nice to have that type of enthusiasm. The famous napkin rose:

The rolls and butter were brought out and the kids loved them. My sister ate quite a few as well.

Appetizers..

My dad ordered the Mussels Provencal - with white wine, tomato, garlic, onion, basil and butter $10.99. He was really excited to just get some mussels! He loved this and could've kept on eating them.

My sister ordered the French Onion Soup - topped with crouton and gruyere cheese $6.99. She loved this. Thought it was great tasting. Sorry for the bad pic but you can see it :)

I ordered the Assorted Cured Meats and Sausages served with cornichons, pickled onions, and toasted baguette (serves two) $14.99. Even though it's meant for two, I think they let me order it because we were on the deluxe plan. It was okay... there was a lot of weird stuff on there that I didn't care for but I had wanted to try something different and I'm not a mussel fan.

At this point, the Beast made his way out and walked through the restaurant. It happens so fast that I didn't get a picture (I got video though)...

Entrees..

This was easy. We all ordered the same thing... Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops - with seasonal vegetables served in puff pastry with a creamy lobster sauce $22.99. This was good but not as good as I expected it to be. The sauce didn't have the greatest flavor in my opinion. I was expecting something a little more pungent. It seemed to just be blah. The puff pastry didn't blow me away either. It wasn't as light as I was expecting it to be. The shrimp were good but there weren't that many. The scallops were my favorite part of this dish.

DD ordered the Grilled Fish of the Day - with whole grain rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables. She liked this. Even though she likes rice, she substituted it for french fries (who wouldn't, right?) She ate quite a bit of this so that was a good sign.

DS ordered the Grilled Steak (add $2.00) with seasonal vegetables. This also came with fries (I suppose so there were no fights between the siblings.. lol) He LOVED this. This was his favorite meal of the whole trip. The steak was okay in my opinion but I thought his CG steak was much better.

Then the dessert cart came around and everyone had their pick.

Here are the yummies:

The desserts were good. I tried DS's strawberry cupcake and it was okay. Nothing special. I got the grey stuff. I did not like the brownie underneath. It was hard and I'm not a huge fan of chocolate anyways so I just scraped off the top layer. I wish they would just serve the grey stuff (as they were doing in the beginning)... I would've enjoyed that more.

After our meal, we headed to the study to get our picture taken with the Beast. No one was in line so we got to take our time with him.

After we all got our picture taken, I had just the kids stand with him and then just DD. At that point, he took DD and began to waltz with her. He danced with her for at least a minute straight. It was awesome. By that point the line had grown and at the end when they both bowed everyone was applauding. DD was so embarrassed by the attention but she loved it. I thought I had been recording it all and turns out I missed it! Thankfully the lady that was handling my camera kept snapping pics so I had a bunch of those that captured the moment.

This was a great meal. A wonderful ending to our perfect trip. It was nice to experience something new with everyone. It was new for all of us. If we had paid OOP, it would've costed $180.76. That seems a little pricey to me. I'm really surprised this hasn't been bumped up to a 2 credit meal yet. I think it will happen in the future if they add more options to the menu (which I think they desperately need for both lunch & dinner). I give it an 8/10.
