The UPS guy didn't deliver a package yesterday. He marked it as delivered, but it never made it to my door. He didn't even STOP here yesterday (I was putting the trash out when he drove by. Didn't even slow down in front of the house).
So, I called
Amazon and explained what happened. It is just a hat, but DH needs it for Resident camp (with DS) next week. Amazon graciously sent out another hat for DH, overnighting it. Not charging me for it either. I also called UPS and told them their driver didn't deliver, and the lady that called me back said "I must not be looking in the right place." Um, I have one front door, and you can't get to my back door, as I have a tall privacy fence with a solid lock on the gate (you can get out of the backyard, but you can't get in!)

She also tried to tell me that it was a new driver, that he did stop at my house, and that I must be confused. Got me a bit cranky over that comment, she did.

Why am I complaining? The UPS guy stopped--today--and dropped off the hat. The Amazon tape on the box was cut open, and the packing slip is missing. The plastic wrap on the hat is slit open on one end.
I called UPS and told them how the box was delivered (today) and the lady told me Amazon probably shipped it that way. I told her I think their new driver got into my package, discovered it was a $25 canvas hat, and decided to go ahead and deliver it. I was assured that they only hire quality people and no one ever steals packages on the job.

Obviously that woman must be new as well.
I'll send it back to Amazon, and keep the other one that is coming via FedEx tomorrow.
All in all, a pretty mild complaint. I'm glad that's all that is bugging me today.
