Compilation of historic DCL *GT sailings and other discounts

Thanks for the reply - I see now. I thought only the entries with amounts next to them were valid *GT rates. Not many March entries but lots of Magic so who knows. Would be interesting to know when the *GT rate was recorded...

I started tonight adding the recorded date for the discounted sailing. Disclaimer: I do not check everyday for *GT rates so there may or may not have been *GT rates released earlier for any particular sailings. :goodvibes

Thank you magicgirl :) We all appreciate you doing this!

I am sooooo sorry to not be able to see it on the front page :rolleyes1

Was there no specials first two weeks December on the dream?

I would start a main thread and ask if anyone got a *GT rate for those dates. It is possible it popped up at a time other than when I was checking. Those rates can come and go randomly.

I'm new to this cruising business and have been reading through lots of threads and posts and now have a question. First of all my son/dil and two kids and myself want to do a 4 day Bahama cruise on the Dream either the end of Oct or first part of Nov. We can't make definite plans until about Sept. I think we would want connecting rooms if that's possible. If OGT or VGT become available is it possible to get 2 connecting rooms this way ?
I may not be understanding the whole guarantee/discount concept so someone can enlighten me, but was wondering about that possibility.

It is possible but no way to guarantee it if you book through one of these special rates. I booked two rooms through one of these rates and ended up connecting. Lots of people end up with connecting rooms. However there's no way to make sure that's going to happen unless you book 2 rooms that you know are connecting and pay full price.

Thanks for your quick reply. I guess we'll wait and see when the time comes whether it's necessary to be connecting. :)

Hoping for some GT rates in March. I only see one on 3/6 for the Dream. Looks like the last release of GT rates was 1/19. Hopefully they'll release some more dates!!

I've been waiting for March too. I finally broke down and booked. At least we used a dummy date so it's some discount but I was hoping for a great deal. Oh well....

I saw gt rates for the last Saturday in March for the fantasy

I see that now. Wow, even the GT rates are more than I would pay. I can't do a 7nt in March though. I was hoping for the Dream or the Wonder. Just did the Magic last fall, but for the right price I would probably sail the Magic again. According to this thread, the last GT rates were released on Sunday, January 19. So maybe tomorrow? :goodvibes

I saw on another board that there are some -GT rates out for some of the March and later cruises, yet could not find them when I searched on the DCL site. Could easily be user error on my part.

As of 2/17/14, the following cruises had availability in the Restricted Guarantee categories for 2 adults (may also have availability for families of 3 or 4 people):
•9-Night Disney Wonder sailings from Vancouver to Alaska – 5/24/14
•New!3- and 4-Night Disney Magic sailings from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas – 3/3/14, 3/7/14
•New!5-Night Disney Wonder sailings from Miami to the Caribbean – 3/2/14, 3/7/14, 3/21/14, 3/30/14
•New!7-Night Disney Fantasy sailings from Port Canaveral to the Caribbean – 2/22/14, 3/1/14, 3/8/14, 3/22/14, 3/29/14
•15-Night Disney Wonder sailings from Miami to the Panama Canal – 5/2/14

OGT and VGT available for 8/25/14 Alaska
IGT OGT VGT and OOT available 9/1/14 Alaska

Just booked our IGT for 9/1 today and saved $700 off what category rates were Monday for 2 adults and a 5 year old! Very excited and don't mind the restrictions on the rate- this will be 4th Disney cruise we have booked this way :)

Please forgive me if this has already been asked....

How soon after PIF dates do *GT rates get posted? I'm not sure if it varies or if there is some sort of "formula". Thanks in advance for your help!

We are hoping for the Nov. 8th Fantasy sailing.

Near as I can tell, there are no rules to the *GT rates. I've seen them pop up after PIF and before PIF. I would venture to guess that the answer really is dependent upon how the ship is filling. Apparently, DCL is doing very well with this program on filling their ship during sluggish sales.
