Compare Illuminations to Wishes

DH doesn't care for the MK that much. But he likes MGM, AK and LOVES Epcot! We are both major fireworks fans and Illuminations is always a highlight of our trip. We've never seen WISHES. How does it compare to Illuminations? I'm trying to convince DH that we need to do MK on our next trip.

wishes is awesome! You know how "grand finale's" are so great? Imagine a "grand finale" all around you (360 degrees) simultaneously! We were at the carousel and they were right above us-you have to look right, left, right, left-it's all over! I wouldn't miss it! Illuminations is longer and has the fire and rockets. Both are good-although I'm more interested in seeing wishes again!

Illuminations is still my favorite, but Wishes is a close second. It's a major improvement over the old show. You'll see pyrotechnics you're not likely to see outside of a major city's Fourth of July celebration. If you watch closely, you'll notice the fireworks are timed to the music to an extraordinary degree of precision. Frankly, I'm impressed that anyone can get stuff to explode with that much accuracy. If your DH doesn't agree that Wishes is very good, I'll buy him a piece of fudge from Main Street.

I agree, Wishes is fantastic, some of the best fireworks I have ever seen. Stars, Hearts, and some explosions that just don't end. There are so many "new" types of fireworks.
I would say if IllumiNations is a 10, then Wishes is a solid 9.7
