company gifts

[FANTASMIC]

I work for a small company 11 people, and we are having a hard time coming up with a gift to give the employees. (we have our dinner after the holidays so everyone can attend, at a nice restaruant with spouses invited) What would you like to receive, a gift of some sort, cash, or a gift certificate to somewhere (need help with that too). Not sure what the denomination is but i beleive its more that $25.00.

I always enjoy gift certificates. Ones for restaurants are good, but if you want to give one that is pretty universal, American Express has them that can be used anywhere.

I would say between $25-50 is a good range for each associate.

I think a good gift would be a GC to a local grocery store.

Everyone can use it!



If youre doing different gifts for everyone then maybe GC's for bookstore, a super certificate ( www.supercertificates.com), or a spa for the ladies?

I'll tell you what our staff didn't like...

a box of chocolates
a box of 8 Harry & David's jellies (There were alot of Christmas Vacation jokes about this.)

What we DID like, although some things are out of your price range were:

4 movie tickets
a fleece pullover with the company logo on it
a Land's End very warm jacket with logo on it

This year's gift was a mixed reaction. We got a logo sweater (crew neck (blech) with a logo mock turtleneck from Land's End and an Entertainment Book. The book would have been very appreciated had I not already spent $25 for one... plus... my DH works for the same company and he got one, too. So, I gave one to my sister, my parents already have one, and I have to ask our next door neighbor if they already have one, because we can give the extra one to them.

I really like the American Express gift check idea. That way, your employees can pick their own gift.
