Between the effects of the pandemic, supply chain issues, labor shortage, and the general way humans interact with each other, it seems that companies in general have lessened their focus on customer service. However I know there must be companies still out there with amazing customer service so let's talk about them and recognize them!

What made you say this company is so great? Did you have an over and above experience, have you simply heard about them in your community or on the news?

Chewy.com - They've been awesome. They've gone out of their way to make sure I was able to complete orders, been really flexible and easy to make changes, communicate, and even sent my dog a bday card.

One of the first times I used them, my vet, who I don't like or have good experiences witu, but we're military so hard to find/keep good providers etc., did not send them the prescription that they were supposed to...multiple times and chewy was great about communicating with me. Then I ended up choosing the wrong one and they called and emailed to tell me how to fix it...such a difference compared to dealing with my vet at the time.

Chickfila has always had much better customer service than your typical fast food place.

The state of TN as a whole (minus their drivers license center, which is different than the dmv) have always been great and essy to deal with...like to the point that we've considered retiring there even though we have 0 family/connections there...if they were just closer to a beach lol.

Usually/most times still Disney as well.

I have found that as I get older I have waaayyy less tolerance for bad customer service and will end up paying more for better customer service if I have to.

I used Chewy for the first time this last Christmas season and I have to say they are quite impressive with their customer service. They went above and beyond helping me with what I was trying to do for the shelter I volunteer with. I will absolutely be using them for this in the future. Heck, I don't even have my own pets. :)

Amazon used to impress me with their customer service but that seems to be much less likely lately.

Chick-fil-A.....been to cfa all over the country and it is unfailingly the best customer service and so fast. It is our family joke:

You go to [name fast food place] and there are 4 cars in front of you.....it will take 15 minutes. You go to cfa and the line wraps around the restaurant and out onto the street....it will take 5 minutes.

The same inside...that line moves fast and they bring your order to you.

Even during Covid, we used the app and our meal was delivered to our car within minutes of arrival.

And when you say "Thank you", they respond "My pleasure".

Fidelity Investments. I'm always talking to a human within 2 minutes and they always answer my questions correctly, or handle the transaction properly the first time.

Our Chick-fil-A is relatively new (only about 9-10 months old) and they are still figuring it out. Their kitchen is way too small for their demand. Orders are taken happily by great kids, always with a "My Pleasure" instead of "No problem." And then you wait, and wait, and wait. I like their food and their kids, but they really need to enlarge the kitchen.

I am not exactly sure what 'customer service' means to others and perhaps they have a different definition then I do. When I go to any fast food restaurant, I want to get the food I ordered (not something the person in front or me in line or behind me ordered), in a reasonable amount of time, have it be hot/fresh, taste good and reasonably priced. I don't consider the cashier to be in 'customer service'. At virtually every fast food place I have ever been, the only people I interact with are the person taking the order and the cashier (sometimes they are the same person, other times 2 different people).

To me, customer service is the group I interact with when something is wrong with what I ordered. I ordered some glassware online from Lenox a few months ago and some of the items arrived broken. I contacted 'customer service' and they were very helpful in getting the issue resolved and sent replacement items free of charge. Had a problem with one of our faucets when our home was recently built and the builder told me to contact the manufacturer. Their customer service people were very helpful in resolving the issue and eventually sent me replacement parts for no charge.

The companies I find most annoying are the ones who seem to put entry level people with ZERO training or product knowledge in customer service and all they seem to be able to do is read from a script that has nothing to do with resolving my issue. Many talk like they either have never seen/used the product or have no idea how to resolve my issue. I have given up on trying contact any company regarding a computer/technology related issue since most of their call centers are offshore and you can barely understand the person who speaks broken English. After they tell you to reboot 3 times and clear your cookies/cache, it is clear they can't provide any real assistance to resolve the issue. I rather ask a friend or look up the solution on my own somewhere on the internet compared to spending 45 frustrating minutes talking to someone who doesn't have the skills to resolve my issue.

Amazon has not been very helpful. They are mostly a storefront for a wide variety of sellers. If you have a specific product question it seems nearly impossible to get an answer. I tried to clarify contradictory information on a product listing for something I was interested in buying. The person seemed to have no idea how to assist but offered to help track my order after I make the purchase. I had NO idea how that had anything to do with the question I was asking and eventually found a similar product on some other website. I also tried their feature where you 'ask a question' of the seller for some other product. Eventually they replied they didn't know how to get an answer for my question. Not my idea of effective 'customer service'.

Wells Fargo Bank and Wells Fargo Securities. Been with them since 1996 when they bought out my previous bank.
When our daughter was getting ready to go to college for a year in England, our Credit Union wouldn't even let her have an account because she had no credit history. Wells Fargo had no issue with that, and even had someone whose job was to help clients who were going overseas for extended periods. She got everything set up so she could pay her bills, we could monitor her spending and add money as needed. And knew all the tricks.......like asking merchants in the UK to swipe her credit and debit card instead of relying on the chip because the U.K. chip readers had issues with U.S. Issued chips.......and making sure she knew her PINS could only be 4 digits since that is all the banking system in the U.K. recognizes.
They kept our retirement accounts in order, and when we retired 7 months ago, helped us roll 40 years of 401k account balances into IRAs and distribute money as we need it now.
And no charge for anything. Cashiers Checks, Notary Services, Safe Deposit Boxes, Travelers Checks.

I'll concur with those who mentioned CFA, they are terrific. I've had good results with AAA roadside service. Had them come to the house for a jump start a couple of times, they show up in less than an hour. And here's one that is Disney adjacent: Owner's Locker. Fantastic service and a pleasure to work with.

Target. I had an issue at check-out with a gift card (a big error) right before Christmas mainly due to the cashier's inexperience. I wasn't angry, but I went to customer service to figure out what the issue was and had such a positive interaction and it really left a good impression on me. The store is always neat and clean.

Amazon. I've had a missing delivery or two and I've done the online chat with customer service. It's resolved quickly and I have no complaints.

Chick-Fil-A. They hire the friendliest employees and they can get you through their drive-through line quicker than most fast food restaurants.

My vets' office - super friendly and caring vets and staff. I "almost" don't mind spening all that money there. LOL!

Amazon has always had superb customer service, the few times we've needed help.

Weber Grill. We have a great gas grill (bought for DH for Father's Day/Anniversary). I went to order a brush to clean the grill grate. Don't know why I went to Weber over Amazon. So it was a $17 order. What arrived was a grill basket ($25). Called them and offered to send the grill basket back. They refused -- said shipping costs more than the basket.

So...I received the grill basket, the brush I'd originally wanted, AND the customer service rep added an additional brush AND two aprons. I will never order another grill-related item from a company other than Weber, ever. And they overnighted the new shipment. Crazy customer service.

In my experience, Nintendo. In the rare event that you even need service, they will make it right.

Another Chick-Fil-A fan, I've always had good service with them and they have the best milk shakes.

Safelite. I've had to call them twice, once at my office and once at home. They were there that day, always prepared, always when they said they would be and always do a good job. Heck at home it was cold and rainy and we offered to bring the car in the garage for the guy to work on and he said no thanks because he didn't want to get any glass in the garage in case any shattered.

I agree. My husband had to call them this morning for a very timely issue and was speaking to a knowledgeable agent right away.

100% Chewy. We had a cat that was on special food bc he was diabetic. He died after the autoship had occured and I sent a message asking if I could return it as it was almost $100 for a bag. They told me to donate it and refunded me AND sent me flowers and a sypmathy card.

Believe it or not, my local post office. As a military family that sends all kinds of mail...all over the world, it's super helpful to have USPS really care about our packages.

Chewy, hands down. I could get most of my pet supplies from Amazon without needing to meet a shipping minimum, but I always make a separate order through Chewy because they’ve earned my loyalty at this point.

And speaking of Amazon, they’ve always provided good service and resolved any issues in a satisfactory manner.

Interesting. A friend of FB just posted a rant about Chewy about not being able to get her dog's medicine in a timely fashion, but I don't have specifics other than she has spent a lot of time on the phone with her vet and Chewy today.
