COMP USA - Closings (NJ Info)

In NJ 9 Comp USA's are closing. I know other states are closing locations as well. In NJ liquidations started today per an ad in todays Star Ledger. All computers and laptops, cameras, MP3, etc. etc, are discounted. The closings in NJ are for
Paramus (both locations)
Edison
Freehold
East Hanover
Brick
Parsippany
Totowa
Springfield

I have not been to any of them today, but I will be going later today. I will post after I visit them. I'm sure the discounts aren't great yet, but you never know. The ad says all sales final. And stores not listed are business as usual. The only exclusions to the liquidation are Bose and Velodyne products.

I read in the Boston Globe that a number of MA stores are also closing and the liquidation is also starting today.

same to for all the stores in CA. I returned something thursday before the mad rush starts on Monday when the liquidation starts according to a store employee. She said they are laying off 45 people per store and many employees have no clue as it has been hush hush. The store near me that is closing is almost brand new. I do want to get a new camera but not sure if I want to fight the crowds. They are taking cash or credit, no checks.

All of the stores in AZ are closing too. We got our computer through them and have an extended warrenty on it. We are most bummed about that one!

For those in SE PA, the one at Franklin Mills Mall in Northeast Philadelphia is also closing. Most items are 10-20% off, some at 30%.

Sme discounts in Atlanta. You can get better deals buying on sale someplace else. (Discounts are not off of sale prices here) I will wait. I would like a new monitor, but they need to get cheaper!

I was at the Brick, NJ store yesterday. Most items only marked down 5-10%. I'm certain as the weeks go by the % will increase, but for now, only 5-10%.

I was saddened to read they are closing our stores here in Minnesota.

The store I used to do demos at in Monroeville PA is closing. They were a wonderful bunch of people to work with. It is a shame what is happening to many great workers.
