Hello,

I need some information from you in order to plan my PS...

I would like to know what type of transportation is offered between MK, Downtown Disney West side and Wilderness Lodge. For my upcoming trip, I would like to see Cirque De Soleil using my magic wishes from the travel package. We would like to catch the early show at 6pm. Therefore, I need to know what bus/monorail I can take to get to DD from MK and around what time we should leave MK.

After the show, we would like to have dinner at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. So, again, I need to know what bus/monorail I can take and how long it would take to get me to WL from DD, so I can make a proper PS.

Thank you very much for your input and suggestion.

:D

Well, if i understand you correctly...
to go from MK to DD
bus to TTC
Monorail to TTC
TTC bus to DTD
are your I think your choices, if cir show is at 6 and you don't want to feel rushed, I'd head out about 4:30.

after cir, you'd need to bus back to TTC and take the bus to WL (which is the frist stop on that run I think after leaving TTC, then contemp) again I'd plan at least 1 hour.

You might want to check hours at Artist's point, I don't know how long the cir show is, but if it's 2 hours, plus an hour back, and if rest. were to stop seating before 10ish, you might have a problem? I'm sure it can be done, just won't want you to have an unpleasant surprise!

Your options:

To get from MK to DD: take monorail or boat to TTC and catch Downtown Disney bus there. There are three stops for every bus at Downtown Disney --Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and Westside (where Cirque is), with Werstside being the last when going. Bus during day (before 5) may also stop at Typhoon Lagoon. I would leave MK no later than 4:30 as the total trip can take anywhere from 40 minutes to 75 depending on how long you have to wait for a monorail and bus.

To get from DD Westside to WL: there is a bus that runs from DD westside to WL. With 6 o'clock Cirque show, you will get out between 7:45 and 7:55. May have 20 minute or more wait for bus. Don't plan for dinner at Artist Point until after 9 if you are making ressie.

Just an FYI - in March the DD buses did NOT stop at West side!!!!! Make sure you check with the driver if they are going to stop at West Side. Not a huge deal if they don't - just get off at Pleasure Island and walk on over to Cirque (that's what we has to do :) ).

I hate to complicate things here, but there have been some changes regarding the bus routes to Downtown Disney. Therefore, some of the responses posted above are no longer valid (giving them credit, though, for their effort in trying to help you). :)

First of all, as Kim said, the buses no longer stop at Westside.

Secondly, the bus route from TTC to DD has been eliminated. So to get to DD from a theme park you must transfer at a resort, any resort.

Getting from MK to DD
I would take the boat from MK to WL. Transfer there to a DD bus. Get off at Pleasure Island and walk to Cirque. As the others have said you should leave MK by 4:30, at least. There is a pre-show at Cirque, so your goal should be to get seated by 5:30.

Getting from DD to WL
Walk back to Pleasure Island (5 or 10 minutes). Catch a WL lodge bus there. The bus ride should take about 15 - 20 minutes. As dsruba said, you may be running close on time for the restaurant.

Enjoy Cirque du Soleil. It's a great show.

Thanks for the info, everyone :D

Those are great tips for my trip planning, and let me understand how complicated and "lengthy" the Disney Transportation system can be.

Since I want to get the tickets using my magical wishes from my Discovery Magic, I cannot book it until I check in. I cross my fingers hoping that I can get a pair of good tickets when I get there in October.

Wish me luck! :bounce:
