We are staying in a studio at SSR in Oct. I was wondering if anyone knows if the shared Washers/Dryers have temperature settings and various cycle settings (delicate, normal etc.). Thanks for any help you can give. :wave2:

Recently we were at SSR and used the washers and dryers near the main pool. I found that the dryer got super hot on the low setting. When I took the clothes out to fold them, I could barely hold them because they were so hot. I did tell the front desk about it, but who knows if they had anyone look into it. I do not remember if the have delicate, however, I am thinking they have the usual cotton, permanent press, and one other which may in fact be a more delicate setting. If the washer is anything like the dryer, I would suggest not putting much trust in the settings. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info. Maybe if we need to wash clothes we will just hang stuff to dry instead of using the dryer. I would hate for a new t-shirt to shrink because the dryer got too hot! ;)

Community dryer CAN NOT have a functional low(or air dry) setting, faster is better when one has to share. If they did WE would have to PAY for more dryers to avoid long lines created by long dry cycles.

Please don't shout :teeth: but I find the American washing machines awful hard on your clothes. Maybe I am doing something wrong, although can't see what but it would put me off taking good clothes on holiday. We have got relations near Clearwater and she was saying it is the water that knocks the stuffing out of the clothes.

Iused the washing machine and dryers in the Paddock section in late July. COuldn't remember if there was a delicate setting, but I wash everything in cold water. I also dry everything on low. I bought ALOT of clothes for the trip and didn't want to shrink anything (which I am famous for..hence why I dry everything on low). I had the whole laundry to myself (twice) so I split up my loads and had all 4 dryers. In 30 mins my clothes were dry. That was on low. Nothing shrank. At home it takes over an hour. BTW, the front loading washer has a different way of turning it on. It's not your typical knob..you have to click and hold and wait etc. I called maint. because it wasn't working..well they held the button in for a few minutes and then turned it and it cut on. I felt like an idiot! They were nice and looked at me like DUH! I as like..it's not not like I don't know how to do laundry..I freaking do it 2x a week for the past 15 years! It was funny though.
