Commitment Issues?!?!

I know that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are activists and really do a lot of great things but I just read this quote from Brad Pitt and for some reason it had me

Seriously Ladies - if you were dating someone and he told you that he would marry you when everyone in the country had the right to marry - wouldn't you think he might have some commitment issues?!!?!?

And do they really think that people are going to say "we have to change the law so Brad and Angelina will get married!!"

I see a whole new line from men - "I really want to marry but I think Brad Pitt is right and we should wait until marriage is legal for everyone!!"

I thought the same thing. He certainly knows that the US isn't going to change laws anytime soon. Convenient excuse. "I really want to marry you, but what can I do? They won't change those marriage laws, darn it!" He should add "and until there is a universal health plan too."

Maybe if you're Brad Pitt you really do think that way. That's too funny though, what are they thinking! Clearly having a child together isn't a reason to get married, but waiting for legal marriage for everyone else is the perfect reason!

I think it's a wonderful sentiment and shows he's thoughtful and wants a just society. I chose to spend the rest of my life with my man for those very reasons! (and the fact that he's drop dead gorgeous! my man, that is. Pitt didn't even make honorable mention on my list)

When he was married to Jen, he said in an interview that he didn't believe that there is only one woman for every man or that someone could commit his whole life to another person. The thought of being together forever is "silly" or something equally as phobic.

I think it's absolutely absurd. As if lawmakers are going to change their minds because Brad Pitt won't marry Angelina?? Oh, the horrors!

There's a part of me that thinks that somewhere in the world, Jennifer Aniston is laughing.

meanwhile, for all the people who felt so sorry for her when Brad threw her over for Angelina, she's looking terrific, and all I hear about Brad and Angelina is how miserable they are. She's miserable being tied down to Malibu while he's filming, he's miserable that she is such a free spirit when he wants a more traditional wife and so on.
