Commission for DVC resale companies?

Is 10% pretty much the standard rate of commission for DVC resellers? I'm pretty sure I've seen 10% for The Timeshare Store, but curious about others...?

I think you'll find 10-12% is the normal range. Don't forget you're talking about VERY small real estate transactions with a considerable amount of work. 10% may seem high compared to home RE commissions, but there aren't many $300,000 timeshare sales.

Some also have a minimum commission of $795-1200 as well. Tom has said the TSS doesn't.

Dean is correct, The Timeshare Store, Inc. does NOT have a minimum. The rate is a flat 10% of the selling price. Our new financing is also a big help in moving properties for those purchasers that require it.

I was quoted 9% by one reseller, and 10% (as a discount off of the usual 12%) by another reseller.
I received both of these quotes within the last few days.

I am pretty certain the other terms were not exactly the same for the two resellers, although I have not done a detailed comparison yet.

I think the reseller quoting the 10% may be more knowledgeable, however I base this on minimal data based on my minimal dealings with both re-sellers (with myself on the purchasing side).
