Hello!

I have been perusing the boards for some information on BCV- specifically 2 bedrooms and have had a hard time finding stuff. For those who have stayed there recently: 1) How was the room quality? 2) What's the chances of getting a dedicated 2 bedroom?

I have looked online at Allearsnet, but I'd love any personal summaries of the resort, specifically recent stays. However, anything pertaining to 2 bedrooms at BCV (including pics) will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Raina

One of the best vacations we've ever had at WDW was Jan 06 in a 2 bedroom at BCV. It was just wonderful! The room was very clean and everything was in geat shape. It was so nice and quiet. We rarely heard any noise except a few kids in the hall. Compared to BWV, this was heaven!

We were on the 5th floor in a dedicated room. You should book one when you make your reservation, if it's really important to you. This is a room catagory and not "just" a request. The earlier you book, the better your chances of getting one.

here's a great link with floor plans and pics of views ..

Hi Raina! (I love that name!)

I won't try to answer #1. Everyone has their own criteria and every time the rooms could be different. We never had issues with cleanliness, but some of the tables were sadly too chiped for my liking.

As far as #2 is concerned.... In case you didn't know there are three room types of 2 bedroom villas at BCV.

Dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queens in the second bedroom (~25)
Dedicated 2 bedroom with 1 queen and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the second bedroom (~53)
Lock-off 2 bedroom (73)

These room types are reserved when you make your reservation with MS. So if you already have your reservation either look at the confirmation or call MS and they will tell you what you have reserved.
Once you have that information, go to Diszip's web site (ParkInfoToGo) and look at where those villa's are located. She has some great view pics too! Last time I was requesting a pool view with a 2 bdrm w/2Q's, and I should have realized there are very few that would have that view! Duh!

Where is this found, please?

CoolCat posted the link above. If you click on the floor plans for each floor you will see the color coded villas. The dedicated 2 bdrm with 2 queens are not a different color but are indicated by a 2Q on the room. There maybe one or two that we have not identified yet.

Thank you to all who replied. I had no idea that there were so many two-bedroom villas. I appreciate all the info I've received. What's the big difference between the lock-offs and dedicated two-bedrooms? I bet the lock-offs are similar to a one bedroom connected to an adjacent studio? Therefore it has a kitchenette? Whereas the dedicated two bedroom has more room as the studio does not have a kitchenette?

I can't wait until June!

Thanks lisareniff and CoolDisneyCat I didn't realize the two were the same! :confused3

Exactly! The lock-offs are a studio + one bedroom with the connecting doors open. With a dedicated you get the extra space that the kitchenette and extra entry door that would be in the studio. This space is used for more closet space and an extra sink and space in the vanity area. HTH

I don't believe the above floor plans are accurate for all Lock-offs, as I have stayed in studios where the door between units was located where the table and chairs are opposite the pullout sofa, not near the entry door as shown on the plan. Perhaps it was a handicapped unit, I don't remember.

Skelooch, from your sig, it looks like you have had quite a sampling of BCV units!! You should know then if there are some differences.

From knowing the plans and reading trip reports there are a couple dedicated pool view units on each floor (x34 and x54) where the doorway between the living room and bedroom is not near the entry door but close to the outer wall.

There are also accessible 2BR lockoffs with the connecting door positioned as skelooch described.

Our first BCV stay was in a 2 bedroom-dedicated room 154. Patio faces
the pool and it was about half way down the hallway. I'd take this room
again if I needed a 2 bedroom! :thumbsup2

Just back from a magical stay in a BCV 2 bedroom lockoff  . Last year, we had a dedicated 2 bedroom. I think I preferred the lockoff! We didn't need the extra closet or sink, so having the kitchenette area was helpful when one child woke up early. I could get most of a simple breakfast together without waking the other. Anyhow, our villa was clean and comfortable, on the 5th floor, with a fine view. The sofa bed in the 1 bedroom side was not a new one, though (we moved to the VWL and those sofa beds were awesome!!!), but the master bedroom bed seemed nicer than last year's. Can't wait to go back again!

So no two bedroom dedicated 2 Queens on the first floor of the BCV's? Looking at the chart and room layout.....Hmmmmmmm we are still missing one room that is a 2 bedroom dedicated queen.....where oh where could that room be! :stir: popcorn::

Correct, there are no dedicated 2 queens rooms on the first floor.

I bet it is one of the following rooms:
301 - courtyard view at the end of building
304 - pool view, second villa from end
334 - pool view, closer to center, doorway between living room and 2nd bdrm not in entry but near TV.
354 - same as 334

All of these 4 units are dedicated 2 bedroom villas without balconies for each room. All of the other 2 queen units did not have a balcony off the second bedroom. It could also be all four. Perhaps the number 25 that has been tossed around was a rounded number.

Anyone stay in one of these?

Wow! What a coincidence you put up these room numbers. We stayed in room 301 and my sister and her family stayed in room 304 last month. Both rooms were clean and we had no problems. :sunny:

OK... The BIG Question..... (drum roll please!)

What bedding was in the second bedroom of each villa? Did either of these have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom? (I am assuming they are both dedicated units. Please correct me if I am wrong)

Bump...I would like to know also. We should do a hunt and find the missing room. I am going soon. The rooms I have stayed in to date are listed but I may ask when I get down there in a few weeks:) popcorn::
