We recently returned from the May 19th Wonder, and I'm just now getting around to posting. We loved the cruise( and I wasn't sure we would), and I'm sure we will go again at some point. We are Me, DH, DD6, DD2. We had room 6099(cat.11) reported as a noisy room by some, we thought it was fine. In fact DH said the hum that we heard put him to sleep. We had awesome servers,Ritesh from India, and Lalu from Indonesia. They made our trip very special. They were so great with our girls, and my girls are still talking about them. We dined alone at a table for 4 which was fine, although I thought it might have been nice to have tablemates, but with a 2 year old you don't want to ruin any one else's dinner. My only complaint was the weather (which Disney can't control, at least not yet anyway!:D ) , only we could be so lucky to have 3 days of rain in the Bahamas. Castaway Cay was a total wash, I was so disappointed because I had looked forward to it for sooo loonngg! We made the best of it, and rented a paddle boat and built sand castles in the rain. I just told DH we would have to go back and see it again in the sunshine!
:D I'm so jealous of Barb and Tony and her perfect weather streak. I registered my 6 year old for the club , but didn't intend for her to go since the 2 year old couldn't. She went a few times and kept begging to go back. She would have lived in there if we would have let her. A big surprise for me. Stay away from the spa if you are watching your spending money. My DH spent three times what I spent in the spa(over $300.00). I told him not to spend money on the products, but of course he did not listen! Next time I will have to keep him out of the spa. I would also recommend if you shop in the ports, to buy your straw market stuff in Nassau. I could have spent a lot less if I would not have waited to shop in Freeport. That being said I was a little overwhelmed with the pushiness of the people in Nassau. Frankly, I could see why people don't want to get off the boat. They bombard you just as you get off the boat while you are still trying to get aclimated to the area. I was polite, but I really wanted to say "shut up and leave me alone for a minute). Once we got out of the immediate port area, it wasn't so bad. All that being said, I liked Freeport better than Nassau, and I hope Disney will consider keeping there stop in Freeport. Again, the cruise was great , we loved the food, the service, and the beautiful ship. The shows were awesome, and we enjoyed the constant activity. I don't intend to get back on the scale here at home for about 3 weeks! I don't even want to know the damage I have done. All that food, all the time, is more than one can handle. I personally think Overeaters Anonymous, should set up shop in the terminal. I can't even begin to think how much weight I would gain on a 7 day! If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them for you. Thanks for all the advice here. Erin
