Brilliant photos, thank you Julie and Manxtatt2! We stayed here when we visited DLRP and we just loved it! I was thinking maybe next time we would try the Sequoia but now I'm not so sure :goodvibes !

Oooh, and I love the new shampoo and soap containers they have now!

we are going back in october , and staying at the cheyenne again

:cool1:

Are there rooms on the ground floor rooms in the Cheyenne?

Don't quite get what you mean! There are ground floor rooms and most have a first floor, some have a second floor and there was no lift! We requested a ground floor room and got one!

Sorry...on the picture that was above it just showed stairs going up to another level and pushchairs there. Didn't know if there was no rooms on the ground floor as the picture made it look like there wasn't

Got what you mean now, a lot of people left their buggy at the bottom of the stairs, it's plenty big enough, but obviously not as safe as in your room. There I was worrying that someone would take Lotties stroller in the park and people were leaving £700+ Bugaboos and Quinnys!!

Really?? I was really worried about leaving Kacee's £20 stroller!

I know, Lotties buggy isn't fab, it's been well used but it would be a pita if someone had nicked it. I was amazed at what buggies people were leaving outside rides! I just used to put hers next to one that looked better lol!

I'd definitely recommend trying the SL. We stayed at the Cheyenne in June and absolutely loved it, we'll definitely be going back, but decided to stay at the SL this time because of the time of year we were going. Over all I'd say breakfast is a better experience, it's nice being a bit closer to the parks and the hotel rooms must be a bit more sound proofed as we didn't hear quite so much noise as at the Cheyenne. We didn't find the staff as helpful as at the Cheyenne, the bar was a bit of a scrum at SL but this may have been down to the time of year (everyone inside as it was so cold). I didn't like staying in a huge hotel as much as I liked staying in the smaller buildings of the Cheyenne. I guess we could've stayed in one of the lodges but would've been further away from the parks.

I suppose the two are very similar and it's really down to personal choice. I don't think we'd go again in the winter (waaaay to cold), but if we did we'd go for the SL again. Otherwise we'd just go for the Cheyenne again as we loved it :thumbsup2 . Unless of course we had a lottery win and could stay at the pink palace :rotfl:

I agree the Cheyenne is fab and if i wasnt going DLRP in the Winter i would 100% stay in the Cheyenne.

We normally stay in the cheyenne as its Roys fave hotel as he loves the themeing (he was 30 in May!!!) but i absolutly love the SL and would be my choice everytime, i love the walk around the lake to the parks and find the hotel so relaxing. We did however get engaged at the cheyenne so it does hold a very special place in my heart and i am sure once we have kids its the only one we will stay in for a while, its always at a reasonable price and have never had any probs here.
