This winter, we took a week vacation to Southern California. We had both been to DL before, but it had been many many years (way before DCA opened). We've both been to WDW, including two long trips in the last 5 years.

We made it a full week by combining San Diego with DLR.

That worked well.

I wanted to just share two DLR observations.

I was completely blown away by WOC. I think it is now my favorite nighttime show, passing Illuminations in Epcot. The only negative is the madhouse lining up and then trying to find a place to see it from. But the show itself was a total wow. I've never been overly fond of Fantasmic (in either location) but WOC was amazing.

Second, Aladdin is my favorite stage show in any Disney Park. Finding Nemo and FOTLK are both great shows in Animal Kingdom, and B&TB is pretty darned good in the Studios, but Aladdin was even better. We really enjoyed it.

Having said that, we will most likely go back to Orlando before we go back to Anaheim, as it makes a better all around destination for us. If we lived closer to DLR, though, I'd probably go frequently.

Couldn't agree more about Aladdin stage show. I like World of Color but enjoy Fantasmic! and Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks so much more. Both are way better at Disneyland btw. WDW is a true resort vacation which is nice but my family loves California so much more and when you couple that with one of California's other places to visit like San Diego, Monterey, San Francisco, and Yosemite National Park. We use to think that WDW was the end all be all to vacations but when we start visiting other places like Yosemite National Park (heaven on Earth!) we realized we were limiting ourselves. Now we could never do without Disney so to find Disneyland back in 2007 was like a dream come true. It was everything I wanted the Magic Kingdom in Florida to be. I do have Epcot though as my second favorite Disney park. Glad to hear you had a good visit.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit! come back soon :)

And I agree about WoC, it's amazing, I love it!
