Comment at Work Today

As a lot of you know, I manage a Sara Lee store. Today was hectic, with people pouring in to buy goodies for Easter. This afternoon, as I was helping people find what they were looking for, I heard the voice of a regular customer who I had not seen in 5 or 6 weeks. She came up to me with a look on her face that could best be described as "puzzled". I asked her if something was wrong, and she said that she knew I was starting a diet last time she had seen me, but she was suddenly thinking that it must have been longer than she thought, because I had lost so much weight. I told her that no, in fact I had experienced a very dramatic and rapid loss. Her next comment made me laugh so loudly that most of the people in my store turned to see what was so funny. She said, "John, you need to go shopping for some new clothes, you look like my son when he dresses in his daddy's clothes"!! LOL

I guess it truly is time to "downsize" my wardrobe, 2 sizes is apparently too much to simply cinch up with my belt.

Her saying that absolutely made me glow!!!

Oh, how wonderful!! Her reaction was a true indicator of how your changes look to others.

And only a tiny preview of how your family may react to your dramatic changes tomorrow... makes me grin just to think about it.

You have done amazing John! What are we going to do when you reach your goal and kick us to the curb?? (like we would ever let that happen)

All you folks have given me the strenght & inspiration to achieve what I have!

I will never again think of the word "loser" as only a negative word.

As to a vision of me wearing my Daddy's clothes..........I just THANK GOD that dad never attempted to wear speedos!!

That is so cool! In all your dreaming about losing this weight and getting healthier, didn't you dream this very thing? Someone actually commenting on your weight loss! How great and inspiring.
