Commandos!!!!!

Akshally, dear Tia, they really aren't dog licks. They're dog kisses! I've taught Bandit how to give me hugs as well. All I have to say is "Daddy huuuuug" and wherever he is, he'll come up and put his head on my lap. Awwwwww!! You gotta be a dog lover I guess.

I do all my Christmas shopping over the internet or at the last possible second. The icicle lights go up if it's nice the week before Thanksgiving, and I may try to have a tree this year. It's a little dangerous with a labrador in the house! Bandit's tail is a registered lethal weapon....

Oh, please pardon my mistake...I stand corrected.... ;) .....'dog kisses'...... :D .....but they're still WET! ((not that when a 3 y/o has an accident, it isn't wet! LOL ))

I prefer dogs over cats (by a l-o-n-g shot!), and although we have 2 dogs, I'm not really a dog lover. BUT! I'm not a dog hater either! ;) ;) ;)

And I actually slept last nighgt! :bounce: Yay! Now it's time to work on the kitchen.....painting the kitchen this weekend! Yellow ceiling and red walls! I'll take a pic when it's done. :) :) :)

B-O-I-N-G!!!!!

Or is it muted yellow and red? :D

Course I should talk. My bathroom walls look like cracked red and burgundy leather. I went a little Ralph Lauren paint crazy last year....

I've always wanted to do wild and crazy decorating in the house, but DH is a bit conservative and wuld think I was nuts! I like bold and bright colors. When we built the house, I was only allowed to pick from certain colors and could only pick 4 colors. Good grief! When you live in PA Dutch country and have to deal with the PA dutch, it makes you want to pull your hair out! They just don't believe in doing anything differently than they've been doing for the past 100 years!! They had a fit when we went with a different company for the kitchen and bathrooms! Someday, I'll have a chance to play with colors. My first project will be making the powder room a Disney powder room!:p :p (Start small and work up)

Ever since the Disney Paint came out, I've been real tempted to take the room that has the piano and pinball machines in it, and change it into a Disney room, complete with bold colors, etc. We'll see. ;)

My Dh is very conservative as well and "beige"walls seem to be the flashiest he can
live with:rolleyes: .
DS has his own bathroom and last year we asked himwhat color he wanted it painted.
After careful consideration (20 seconds) he decided on "night time blue" (he is into
astronomy) with some gold stars painted on (my boy!!!). I thought DH was going to
hurl:D ! Well, it took me a couple of weeks to talk my DH into it, but it got done!
DS loves it, and I do too! DH still doesn't. Oh well..........;)

I am a bold and bright type of person......natural tones and light shades are nice.....but not for me! :D

I was aiming for a 'dusty red' and 'dusty yellow' and 'dusty orange', but it's more of a bright orange-yellow! Like Mickey's shoes!

I've been wanting to do this ever since we moved in (2 1/2 yrs ago! ) but haven't had the nerve......but my best friend just started doing her house....and it looks awesome! So, it inspired me to get started!

The kids have a Mickey Mouse bathroom upstairs, and I want to paint it in Mickey red and yellow.....that will be one of our next projects. ;) Let me find a picture......

This should be three pics of the kid's Mickey Bathroom.

Well it's not. I don't know what happened.

Okay, have to go get some lunch.....I'll work on this later. Sorry. :(

Sometimes I am really happy to live in an apartment. I dont have to worry about decorations....well I put up my fake tree and hang a couple of christmasy pictures on the wall but that is it. I bet the whole thing takes me less than 3 hours.

Last year on the otherhand I put no short of 3 weekends worth of work in decorating my mothers house! Never again...I hire someone to do it, me and ladders just dont get along.

Tia, are you done with lunch yet?
I'm looking forward to pictures of your Mickey room!!!!:bounce:

Corinne

Hi Corinne, and yes, I'm done...but I can't see the pictures. I'll post them and then I'll have to reply on all of you to tell me whether or not they're up.

I don't see anyone's clipart......no red 'x's either.....just blank white space!

Now what???????

DH will help me later. :bounce:

Okay, let me see if I can do this again. :)

These should be 3 pictures of my kid's Mickey Mouse Bathroom....

:bounce: Just had to re-boot and everything is back to 'normal' :bounce:

I like the bathroom Tia! Very nice. When do we get to see pictures of the kitchen?

Well, um, ::clearing throad::, well.....let me see if DH is going to 'freak out' first....LOL

The yellow ceiling is beautiful! But RED walls was a bit much for DH, so I went to the store and bought some orange and decided to do the North and South walls orange and the East and West walls red...now he's having second thoughts about it....LOL

By tomorrow, I should have something to show you. :)

Oh Lord, Tia....

Red and orange don't go together....at all. You'll be having nightmares for days. Have your DH go out and buy a darker red tone glaze, put it on top of the red, and then take a stiff brush to make patterns in the glaze before it dries. If you want pictures of how it looks, I'll get the digital out.

ROFLOL Steve! You're scaring me too!

Yes, get your digital out because I am wondering if my friend did her kitchen the way you just described! Hurry....'cause DH just walked in and he's ready to PAINT!!! :bounce:
