I grew up in southern California in the early 70's. My mother was a single mother of 3 struggling to make ends meet, but she never failed to take us on the annual pilgrimmage to Disneyland. We did it on a shoestring but we looked forward to is all year, and they are still some of my fondest memories. Somewhere I'm sure there's still a shoebox full of A & B tickets commemorating all those the trips.

This year, I'm trying to say thanks. We've banked and borrowed enough points to reserve accomodation for all her kids and grandkids to spend Easter week at OKW. I know she appreciates the thought, and she's thrilled to have all of her extended family with her for her first trip to WDW. I'm just trying to come up with a little something special to let her know that we all appreciate that she introduced a love of Disney to us early in life.

If you have any ideas, please pass them along.

Take a look at Disney's Magical Gatherings options--there are some very special things to choose from there, depending on the size of your group.

Print out a copy of your above post. It is beautiful! You make your points from the heart, clearly and suscintly (sp). No need for flowery words, or a Hallmark card. You Mother will be brought to tears of joy upon reading your words.

And the fact that you wrote them, proves what a great Mother your Mom is and what a good job she did in raising you!

Aside from that, I would treat her to a highend dinner, and toast her with, Here's to you Mom.......Thanks.......We love you!

Have a wonderful Easter trip, and thank for sharing!
