"Waffles, beignets, and coffee for breakfast. The food was yummy, the coffee was questionable.
DH said, "If this is what coffee's like in the future, I want off." ​

Congrats on the house! My parents had a vacation home in NSB when I was a kid and we love the area. That was also how I got to visit Disney around Easter time every year for 14 years. We did a LOT of day trips. And it's nice to see a good review of chef mickey's, it doesn't seem to get many.

Has there always been breakfast at this place? I'm curious because I've never noticed it before, but that doesn't mean anything. What time of day do they stop serving? I'm going to have to make sure to grab some of those beignets on our next trip!!

As far as I know, Tomorrowland Terrace is only temporarily serving breakfast while the Main Street Bakery is closed. Can't answer your second question though regarding what time of day they stop serving. Anybody know?

We have two more lunch updates sent to us yesterday, this first one from Kathymford.


She and her DBF, Steve, made a second visit (this time for lunch) yesterday to...

Kathy said, This is obviously a picture from our dinner the other night. But this report's about lunch!"





Here's what they had this time...

Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin style) - eight-hour slow-cooked pork with mushrooms, onions, carrots and bacon served with mashed potatoes and green beans jardiniere


"Steve had the Braised Pork. He liked this better than the steak for dinner. He also got the French Onion Soup."

Croque Monsieur - Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel with Pommes Frites


"I got the Croque Monsieur. I liked this, but liked it more piping hot. I also got the soup but did not love it."

"This is Mojo Pork. It usually comes with broccoli but we opted for double rice and beans. This was delicious. Rice and beans were seasoned nicely and the pork was tender."

He was at Downtown Disney last night and had dinner at...

He said, "The menu is 12 pages, so I got only a couple for you..."

And he chose...

Shrimp Alfredo - Jumbo shrimp sauteed in garlic, fresh cream, parmesan cheese and tomatoes. Served on a bed of spaghetti.


"Had Shrimp Alfredo at Planet Hollywood. It was very meh. Sauce was too heavy for my tastes."



"Atmosphere was okay. Way too loud and crowded for my tastes. People were sitting on stairs waiting for a place to eat. The only way I got to eat was by sitting at a bar. The stuff on display there was amazing including Daryl Hannah tail from Splash."

'Ohana Welcome Bread (Pineapple-Coconut bread)

"Mom with her Pina Colada."

"This tasted a lot like a dressing for a Chinese chicken salad. It was very, very good. I thought I got a picture of the salad, but I guess I didn't. There's a picture of some salad on mom's plate in the background of her Pina Colada picture."

Hot towels for sticky hands!

"Yummy, yummy noodles with peanut sauce and vegetables. The noodles are my favorite part of the meal."

"Because I never really had a good chance to take a picture of the skewers of meat at our table, I got a picture of them on the grill. I hope this serves as a good alternative. My ten cents about the meat is that the steak is very good, but could be cooked a bit longer. The chicken was a little dry, but the shrimp was very good. Because I typically don't care for pork, I didn't try any."

This was from their dinner last night at...



Coral Reef



She said, "What a great last day. My littlest DD woke up with a fever. So I stayed in the room till she felt better.
So we had a late dinner at Coral Reef."

Grilled New York Strip Steak served with Mushrooms, Spinach, and Red Wine Sauce


"This is my DD's NY strip and she subbed fries for the potatoes that normally come with it. It was good but overcooked.
We couldn't tell the waitress as she didn't come back."

Coral Reef Lobster Orecchiette Pasta with White Cheddar Cheese and Basil Oil



"I had the lobster pasta. It was very good. Rich and creamy. I like the old lobster raviolis better but this was still very good."

Appetizer for Two - Crab Cakes with tropical fruit salsa, tequila aioli; Crispy-fried shrimp with Coral Reef Slaw and spiced remoulade; and a taste of our Creamy Lobster Soup



"My mom had the app for two. The new shrimp they replaced the beef with was good. Nice and crispy.
The slaw under it was excellent. Every was great."

Next we received several updates from Kerri (wdwpirates).


First was from their lunch on Thursday at Epcot's...

Sunshine Seasons


Kerri said, "We are back up and running after some spotty web access for a few days! Woo hoo!!"




"Here's our lunch from Thursday at Sunshine Seasons!..."

"Jim had the Half Rotisserie Chicken with rice and beans. He liked it very much. The chicken is very moist and nicely flavored. The sides were also quite good and went well with the chicken."

"I opted for the pork chop and mashed potatoes. The pork was not as moist as it typically has been in the past. It still had great flavor and the BBQ sauce helped with that. It's not a traditional BBQ....it's more of a chunky BBQ flavored salsa...if that makes any sense. The mashed potatoes are awesome! Hot and creamy! Yum!"

"Jim saw that they had roasted potatoes and they looked SO good! So he ordered a side of those. These were the winner of the meal. Nicely roasted with pepper and olive oil. Perfect!"

"We couldn't pass up dessert! Jim chose the strawberry shortcake and I selected the cappuccino cupcake. Both were super tasty and satisfied the sweet tooth. We ended up splitting both. The strawberry shortcake has nice sliced strawberries and rich cream between layers of a moist yellow cake. Simple and delicious. The cupcake was great! It was topped with two little chocolate coffee beans sand the frosting has a nice mocha flavor. I had read a few reports of the cake part of this cupcake being dry but this one was very moist and could stand alone without the frosting. Warning...this little baby is very sweet! I couldn't eat the whole thing even if I tried. A good sharing dessert!"

Kerri's next update was a two-part snack update from Epcot.


Part I was from the...

Espresso, Coffee and Pastries Kiosk




"Mid-day on Thursday we were feeling a bit peckish and I totally needed a caffeine fix. The Nescafé doesn't do it for me at all. I like strong black coffee, preferably iced. So we bopped over to the Espresso Coffee Pastries kiosk near Universe of Energy."

"I got an iced coffee, BLACK! Jim went with an iced cafe mocha. We got a brownie and a sugar cookie to share."

"The coffee did the trick. Good flavor. It's the best available in WDW as of right now. Jim sucked down his iced mocha...I think he may be addicted! The brownie was great! Moist with a nice chocolate flavor...not to sweet or gooey. Just right. The cookie really has more of a shortbread flavor and texture. I like shortbread, so it was all good!"




Then Part II was from the kiosk in France...

"OK.....this is more like a multiple adult beverage update! We found a little table in France and decided to have some of our favorite bevvies. Grey Goose citron lemonade slush and Grand Marnier and Grey Goose orange slush! I prefer the GG and Jim always goes for the GM. They were awesome as always!! Yummy!!!"
