Now moving on to the lunch updates we have received so far today, starting with one from superchime.


She and her family had lunch at Epcot's...

Liberty Tree Tavern

New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables (split in half)


Emily said, "We split the pot roast and this is how they served it. Lots of carrots, some onion, and very little mushrooms. This is one of our overall favorites. The meat is always so tender."

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake - vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce


"Good as usual."

Martha Washington's Cake - a slice of rich chocolate cake, layered with a liberating chocolate coffee icing and whipped cream


Emily said, "The light-up Little Mermaid (which is usually served with the light-up punch drink) was for my birthday because they didn't have candles. Haha! I prefer this though because Ariel is my favorite princess."

"Side dish portion rather than appetizer, more than enough! Love the Mae Ploy. (chili sauce)"

Malaysian Seafood Curry - Mahi Mahi, scallops, little neck clams, mussels, shrimp, zucchini, Roma tomatoes, red curry coconut broth, and jasmine rice


"I adore this curry!!! It is almost as good as my MIL's!!!"

Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp - skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, chili plum dipping sauce

"I really enjoyed this. Sometimes you want fine dining like Le Cellier, sometimes you want blue collar comfort food. This was excellent blue collar comfort food."

"Mom said it tasted peachy and pineappley. It was great!"

Artisanal Greens and Heirloom Apples with Balsamic-orange blossom honey emulsion, pickled red pearl onions, medjool dates, spiced pistachios, and valdeon cheese


"We both had this salad. It was absolutely delicious. The best salad I've ever had."

"Mom's Oak-grilled Filet of Beef served with roasted pearl onions, rainbow carrots, micro celery, barley risotto with peas, and cabernet demi-glace."

"My pan-roasted chicken breast with creamy goat cheese polenta, apple cider chicken demi-glace, and root spinach.
I wasn't especially hungry, but this was an absolutely perfect lighter meal."

Oh my goodness, so many wonderful updates!

Kathy and Steve were at Epcot yesterday and had lunch at...



Electric Umbrella


Kathy said, "We got a late start to Epcot today, so we were starving by the time we got there. So, Electric Umbrella was the first thing that sounded good. We hadn't had a burger all week, so it hit the spot."

"We both got the mushroom Swiss burger, but I traded my mushrooms for his onion ring. Great trade. This was pretty good, but remember we were starving. The fries were hot and fresh and yummy. Dessert was your average Disney pre-packaged strawberry cheesecake."

"Not delicious, but for some reason couldn't stop eating. Ha!"






"In the late afternoon we finally made it to Boulangerie Patisserie for a snack."

"Steve got the eclair and enjoyed it."

"And I got the Napoleon which I never knew of before this thread. This wasn't as sweet as I was expecting besides the top layer. The other layers were not mushy for me, but really flakey. It made it hard to eat, but was pretty good."




"Because of our late snacks, I was barely hungry for Garden Grill and completely forgot to take pictures. We were in love with the steak and mashed potatoes. And the character interaction was the one of the best we've ever had."

"And just so everyone know, it doesn't say "doofenslurper" on the menu and the cast member looked at me like I was nuts when I called it that."

How perfect that Kathy didn't get GG pictures but superchime did! That dessert looks good. I wasn't fond of the crisp when I was there but I think i would like that.

Next in this morning was an update from milmore104's breakfast yesterday at...

She said, "I haven't been in years. It's the standard breakfast buffet but it was excellent. The food was hot and fresh. We mainly went to see characters and for mickey waffles of course... it did not disappoint. Only thing that could have made it better was real syrup."

Then she said, "My dinner was a carrot cake and chocolate cake from the..."


Pepper Market

"They were good. We were on a bus headed to DTD to Fulton's for dinner when a man dropped his stroller on my broken toe ( I had broken it on the first half of my vacation at my mother-in-law's). I just couldn't continue on with them. It hurt bad enough walking all day, so this sent me back to the room. The rest of them continued on but didn't take any pics. But they said it was delish. My oldest DD and mom had the lobster."


"On a happy note I just got a call and our bid was accepted for our house. So we will he moving to New Smyrna Beach next month and will only be one hour away from DISNEY!!!"

Emily said, "This is delicious. Very rich and cakey. It used to just be a special there, kind of like the red velvet pancakes at Kona Cafe, but it was so well received that it became a part of the permanent menu."

Belgian Waffle with pecan topping and maple syrup and a scrambled egg (substituted for meat)


"We almost always ask for an egg instead of meat."

Birthday cupcake!


"They tried to get the entire restaurant to sing, but people weren't too keen on serenading this morning."

"I started with the tomato bisque soup. It was very good. Nice, hot and creamy. Great flavor to it also."

Tuna Salad Sandwich - tuna salad with lettuce and tomato on freshly baked croissant


"I chose the tuna salad sandwich for my lunch. It was okay. The tuna salad wasn't strongly flavored was my problem with sandwich. Croissant was flaky. The fries are my favorite on property due to that they are crispier than any on property.
I would go back again."

Quiche Lorraine - ham and cheese quiche & garden salad

"Creme brulee with a birthday twist. I was telling mom that the way the bruleed it makes it look like the cheese on Pizza Hut pizza. It was very good though."

"Because we had an incident at the end of our meal, the manager gave mom some champagne. Oh boy!"
