"We both started with the seasonal salad and really liked the ice wine dressing. I thought it might turn out too sweet but it was wonderful."

served with Macaroni and Cheese, Rainbow Chard, and Blackberry Pinot Noir Reduction


"For my main I chose the buffalo strip steak. This was perfectly cooked medium rare and the Pinot Noir sauce was a great sweet and tart accompaniment. The mac and cheese was to die for!"

All-Natural Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin
served with Peruvian Purple Potato Mash, Heirloom Rainbow Carrots, Crispy Sweet Onions, and Wild Berry Gastrique


"DH had the pork tenderloin. He wouldn't share much with me so it was wonderful as well. We split the berry cobbler for dessert but I forgot a picture of it. It's one of my favorite desserts at Disney World!"

As for tonight's other updates, the Wilderness Lodge food definitely has me feeling hungry. I'd like to try WCC sometime (still haven't been there yet), and it's so great to see an updated Artist Point menu! The tuna, salmon, and buffalo all sound amazing - how I miss that place.

Becky said, "Tomorrowland Terrace is serving breakfast during the Main Street Bakery renovation. Kinda lackluster!"



Notice the Beignets listed on the menu. Hmmm, I wonder. Could they be the same as those served at POFQ???




Then Becky said, "Btw, we are about to board Space Mountain. Perfect for after breakfast!"

"DSis had these and thought they were nice and fluffy."

"I loved these. I really liked the pieces of macadamia nuts right in the pancakes and not just in the butter like you get when these are served with the Big Kahuna. Overall we had a wonderful breakfast this morning!"

Carved Turkey Sandwich served on a warm baguette with Dijon mayonnaise and Pomme Frites

Croque Monsieur - Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel with Pommes Frites.

Passion Fruit Cream Puff filled with Passion fruit mousse and topped with whipped cream



"Deux passion fruit cream puffs. I certainly wasn't going to get another cupcake!"

"We shared a pork shank that was huge and tasty. DH wanted some BBQ sauce but there was none to be found."





"We also got a LeFou's Brew. Yummy frozen apple juice. It is a bit too sweet, but the mango foam on top is tart. As long as you mix the two, it is not sweet. Here's a photo of me and the brew. It is the worst photo I have ever taken, I swear."

Wait a minute - the Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's now comes with the strawberry sauce?! That's great news IMO, since the strawberry sauce has always been a deal breaker for me (when I last got it at CC several years ago, the sauce wasn't included). Now if only we had another WDW trip on the horizon

I've never had the Tonga Toast...but when I plan my next trip (in my head) I always want to go to Kona and can't decide between Tonga Toast and the Samoan. So now I know I can go to CC for Tonga Toast and get the Samoan at Kona.

Of couse, this is all in my head for a trip two years from now

I'm so glad I'm finally feeling up to looking at pictures of food again..... looking at them makes me really want to go back in 2 years and eat (and drink) all that I couldn't when we were there in December!

I can't wait to read another Kona review. I just decided my last meal at WDW for our Feb trip will be lunch at Kona. I cannot resist the allure of the sticky wings even if it means dining alone

My dining plans are now:

Feb 1- late night bar food and drinks at Raglan Rd
Feb 2- lunch at teppan edo, dinner at CS in Epcot (breakfast probably a cupcake in Disney Studios!)
Feb 3- lunch ?? , dinner at Trail's End, cocktails elsewhere
Feb 4- lunch at Kona Cafe
