"The restaurant was beautiful- it was snowing in the window!"













"My wine was Helfrich Pinot Gris from Alsace- it was very fruity and a little sweeter than I usually like, but I did enjoy it."























"Tim wanted to share the Assorted Cured Meats and Sausages served with Cornichons, Pickled Onions, and Toasted Baguette - $14.99"

"Basically that meant he ate the prosciutto and ham, and left the pate and sausages and cornichons to me- lol! It was a nice plate, meant for two- when I am there next month I want to try the mussels."








"For our dinners, I had Pan-seared Salmon on Leek Fondue served with Creamy Saffron-crushed Potatoes - $20.99. I enjoyed it - the salmon was cooked medium."








"Tim had Grilled Strip Steak with Garlic-Herb Butter and Pommes Frites - $29.99."








"Ok- those pommes frites? OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING!!! They are served with a truffle aioli- I wanted to bathe in it. I told our server that when I return with my girlfriends in May, I will require MEGA pommes frites- I may just order them! She was so happy to see me eat the aioli, she said many people wouldn't touch the aioli because they didn't know what it was. I am begging all people- PLEASE try the aioli, and if you don't like it, pm me and I will forward my address so you can send it to ME! LOL!"







"As you can see, I left no Pommes Fritte -seriously the greatest fries ever!!"

We leave Sunday for our two week vacation! I cannot wait and I'm looking forward to being a live reporter for the first time. Not a lot of ADRs this trip but I do like to snack......here's my list.

"We had breakfast on Sunday morning before the cruise at Roaring Forks again, although this time we shared the platter and a cheese Danish. Originally we had booked WC, but cancelled because we wanted to go for a bike ride before the cruise- Tim ate most of this, he enjoyed it."

"Once we boarded the Dream, we were able to drop off our bags in the cabin before heading up to Cabanas for lunch. The crab claws were great, just like the last time. So happy!"

"I think I must have forgotten to take pics of our apps- GASP! For dinner, I had the server recommended..."





Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Thyme-roasted Vegetables, Double-baked Potato, Horseradish, and Natural Jus

"I had promised myself I would try to eat different things from what I usually have, which meant I ate a lot more beef than usual on this cruise, because I usually choose fish. Anyway, the prime rib was good, I have not had that in quite a while."








"Tim tried the Marjoram Scented All Natural Chicken - Half a Chicken served with oven-baked Sweet Potatoes and sautéed Baby Spinach."

"So, he ate the chicken, and nothing else- LOL."







"He left to run off to Vibe immediately when he was done- but I tried dessert, one of the sugar free options, Strawberry Cheesecake - with whipped cream and fruit coulis Again, Our server, Heidi, recommended this, and I enjoyed it- it was very light, and I did not feel at ALL guilty eating it!"





"That night I had a glass of Moet Ice Imperial in Pink, followed by an Ooh La La in Skyline, when I ran into a DISer who yelled "ELLEN!" when I was walking by. AWESOME.... both the cocktail AND the DISer (PrincessBette)."​

The breakfast menu...






Ellen said, "I had never made it to the sit down breakfast offered on any Disney ship, so that was one of my goals this trip."







"Tim started with a donut, I had coffee."








"He then ordered the DisneyCruiseline Breakfast Trio- French toast, Belgian waffle, buttermilk pancake served with cinnamon butter, syrup and whipped cream, and bacon. He barely got through half- that was a HUGE brekkie!"














"I ordered eggs benedict and a Mango Mountain hike, which was mangoes, honey, granola and lowfat yogurt, blended. It was kind of an usual consistency, with the granola in the blend, but the flavor was fantastic."

"The Eggs Benedict was perfect- yummy hollandaise and appropriately runny eggs. I loved the TS breakfast at Royal Palace, I would be back for seconds before the cruise ended!"

Nassau Day - Lunch in Cabanas






She said, "Coconut Shrimp. O.M.G. It was EXCELLENT. When I took the pic of it, all the chefs responsible wanted a pic, too- they were hilarious!!"

"Lunch was so, SO good this day- did I mention the awesome coconut shrimp? I had some pasta with Bolognese that was also tasty- in fact, I went and filled up a plate of that and some green beans for Tim to have in addition to his uber-health food meal of pizza, a roll, and a cookie, lol- I also had the crab claws again- still fantastic- and some sushi. GREAT lunch in Cabanas."

Ellen said, "I took no restaurant pics this night- I guess I figured I had at breakfast that morning?"











"Anyway.... for apps,Tim had Iced Lobster and Jumbo Shrimp - white and green asparagus, micro greens, and lemon-dill dressing with horseradish cream- he finished every bite!"







"I had slugs...I mean, Escargots Gratines - herb-marinated snails with finely chopped mushrooms, topped with garlic butter and breadstick - also tasty."







"For dinner, I had Double Cut Rack of Lamb with a Dijon Crust with fine green beans, gratin potatoes and rosemary jus. This was very good!"








"Tim went with- Baked Farm-Raised Organic Chicken Breast filled with escarole, raisins, and pine nuts on wild rice with a red wine reduction. I was kind of surprised he chose this over the beef tenderloin, but apparently he only orders steak on land when we are paying out of pocket and chooses chicken when price is no object on the cruise. NICE....







"Dessert this night was my favorite- Grand Marnier Souffle infused with fresh orange zest and served with creme Anglaise . DELICIOUS!!! Afterwards, Tim went to Vibe, while I went to my club, Pink- for some Moet Ice Imperial and another visit with my favorite DCL CM, Alex."

Just received confirmation that the mystery update that I received last night was from a new reporter who arrived at Disney World yesterday, Hannikins.

"We shared a creme brûlée and a cheesecake. I loved the brûlée and luckily Adam preferred the cheesecake so there were no arguments!"

She said, "Yesterday we headed to Pizzafari for lunch."











"We shared two cheese pizzas, salad, and lemonade. Same pizza as at Pizza Planet. We love Pizzafari because it has air conditioning and a lot of seating."



"And we also stopped at cart in Asia for some classic Disney snacks..."

Our next update received today was the last from MickQuinn, who's trip ended yesterday.


She said, "We were set to leave on the Magical Express at 3pm, so decided to do a few rides we'd missed earlier. We had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons while waiting for our fastpass time."

"Quinn and I shared the breakfast platter. It was quite food. The bacon was actually crunchy not floppy. It also came with scrambled eggs, biscuit, sausage and breakfast potatoes."







"Pepere had coffee and a croissant."







"DH had the croissant berry bread pudding. Not the prettiest thing to look at but very moist and delicious."








"We stopped in China {F & G food booth} to sample the candied strawberries. DH and I liked them. Quinn has sensitive teeth and said they were too cold."







"Quinn had to try out a hat and puppet too."





Then they made a stop at Morocco's...

Lamb Shawarma Platter served with a side of Hummus, Tabouleh and a Tangierine Couscous Salad and with fresh Moroccan bread

"I dream about this meal, so we had to stop in Morocco for the lamb platter. This was as yummy as always. We shared this. Pepere avoided the tabbouleh and couscous though."




"Then we had to go back to the resort to board the Magical Express. It was sad to say goodbye to Animal Kingdom Lodge."







"At the airport, we found that Southwest had changed us to a non stop flight back to Manchester....yippee! Unfortunately they also delayed the flight an extra 40 minutes. Oh well."






"Quinn had a chance to try his first Krispy Kreme donut fresh from the cooker. It was love at first bite!"

She said, "We both grabbed a Jalapeno cream cheese pretzel for breakfast at Animal Kingdom. I loved this although I would have preferred more heat."

loved Ellen's cruise food photos - spectacular!

Emmebear & Rachel's Sanaa I was excited to see since I'm planning to go there soon.

Arielle71s Plaza Restaurant photos showed that they brought the real plates back. No more paper.

And Nicole0992 had Cousin Cooper!!! We've missed him the last two times we've been to 50's PT. Glad to see that he is up to his usual hilarious antics.

I will always have room on the schedule for you and Emily, so don't worry about that. I know it can get a little crazy taking pics with both your phone (to share on the Live Thread) and with your camera (for your Dining Report) at every meal, but I'm sure that whatever you are able to send our way would be appreciated.

We received a couple more updates last night from Hannikins.


The first was from their dinner at AKL's...
















"Wild berry foam lemonade and mango lassi smoothie, both on DDP and both were very refreshing after a day at Animal Kingdom."














"We started with the bread service. They were all lovely apart from the pickled garlic."










"I had the sustainable fish, I think it was grouper. The whole dish was perfect except the scallops, which were a little overcooked for me. The shrimp I left, as I don't eat them but the portion was a decent size."








"Adam had the Durban chicken and Thai green shrimp curry. The chicken he thought was tasty but the shrimp again we felt were overdone."








"Adam had the rice pudding, I did explain it wasn't going to be as he was expecting as I'd seen other reports on it, it was just very dry."








"I had the sampler, I swapped the chocolate cake for another chai cream as I'm addicted to chai at the moment. They didn't disappoint, yummy!" The kulfi was ok, I had to leave it 10 minutes before I could stick my spoon into it!"


"Overall I enjoyed it, Adam not so much. I think the fish made it for me and the pudding broke it for Adam." ​
