I have just a few more updates to post, which were sent to us yesterday.


The first one is from Carmen (carmie3377) regarding her first night dinner (on March 9th) aboard the...


DISNEY FANTASY



She said, "Each Disney ship has 3 main restaurants that passengers rotate through for dinner. Our first restaurant was..."

"Hubby and I before our first big dinner. We were sitting with friends and all the kids were down at one end of the table with the adults at the other; therefore, pics of the kids and their meals are few and far between."




First some menu pics...

"I had the Spinach and Raspberry Salad as my appetizer. It was very fresh with the just the right amount of vinaigrette."

"Jarrod had the North Atlantic Lobster Ravioli and the Cream of Asparagus Soup.
I tried his soup and it was good but actually tasted like potato soup."

Now for Part II of Carmen's update from her dinner at the Fantasy's...

"I had the Roasted Pork Tenderloin. The tenderloin was a bit dry but otherwise very good. I really wish there had been more sauce and veggies on the plate though."

"Jarrod had the Slow Roasted Prime Rib with a side of Caramelized Sea Scallops. He enjoyed meal."

"Our son Cameron, about to enjoy a Premium Mickey Mouse Bar (like those found in the parks) for his dessert. Of course, they dressed it up a bit with sprinkles and chocolate sauce!"






The Dessert menu...

"I had the Banana Foster Sundae. It was great but wish the banana had been sliced instead of just halved and placed at the bottom of the dish. I know, being a bit picky."


"DH didn't order dessert. He's perfectly happy ending his meal with a nice entree. Not me, I love dessert!"





"Then it was back to the cabin where we found our first towel/blanket creation..."

"It was either a shark or dolphin!"

I'm going to attempt to post an update from Chris (dvc4life).




Chris said, "Yesterday after we got off the cruise we went to Yak & Yeti. Picture are on my camera and will have t share when we get home. All I can say about my meal is yuck! I didn't care for it. Then last night we were here at EPCOT. Tried some interesting stuff."

"Here is the menu from the pineapple stand. The girls had the lemonade and it was quite tasty."

"Next we tried some very good wine."

"Bobby had the Pinot Noir and I had the blueberry wine. Both were very good but I really like the blueberry."

"And the girls had the wildberry smoothie. They didn't like it as much as the lavender lemonade they tried."

"And an all time favorite of ours, the Tokyo Sunset. Yummmmmm."

"Then today were at Hollywood Studios."

"And went to DTD for lunch at DH's favorite place for scallops. Well actually Cookes of Dublin had the scallops and Hole in the Wall the wine."

"Me and our oldest daughter shared the beef and lamb pie from Cookes. It was very good."

"And of course the scallops."

"My family...Bobby, Brooke and Becca."

"And then me enjoying a glass of Pinot Grigio."

Hello everyone!!

My name is Rachel and I am going to be helping out for Barb while she is relishing in the Orlando sun this week! I am not going to be as organized as Barb but I will give it my best.

She just forwarded me some pics so here we go. This was from proudestmunkie from their trip that ended on 3/20.

Tune In Lounge

Mai Tai from Tune In Lounge -- they make a great one! Didn't taste nearly as strong as it smelled.

Yorkshire County Fish Shop

Fish and chips from Yorkshire fish shop. Seems like the portion got a bit skimpy since I last had it and the tasty English shortbread cookies they used to give as a dessert are unavailable and they give you a regular sugar cookie.

Crystal Palace

Chipotle pasta, teriyaki noodles, cornbread, corned beef and cabbage from crystal palace. The pasta and noodles were good. The beef at the carving station was really well done and I don't like turkey so I didn't eat it. This was my least favorite meal. I tried to get a few buffet shots but it was really busy so the quality isn't the best

Siesta's Pool Bar and Grill


Fiesta margarita from the Coronado Springs pool bar (siesta's) with a tequila floater. As I'm not a fan of the green layer in Epcot (is it still apple?) this was nice. Strawberry, lime and mango.

Pepper Market Food Court

Nachos from pepper market. I subbed the standard chicken for ground beef. All the toppings courtesy of toppings bar next to the station. They were great, the only thing the bar was missing was plastic cheese but they did have real shredded cheese (plastic cheese was on the nachos already)

Chicken quesadillas and Churros from pepper market. When I asked Bill how it was he said good and very filling. He's a Churros freak so he said these weren't the best hes had but still tasty. I had one and enjoyed it.

Jiko


This was brought out to us by Dawn (my fav server at Jiko) courtesy of the chef. All I know is the meat is guinea hen and it was a nice surprise and super tasty.

Traditional African honey bread, flaxseed bread and honey butter. Bill already took bread before I could take a pic (the story of every trip!) I LOVE this bread service, the butter is amazing.

Wild boat tenderloin app. Was prepped different last time, I feel like the portion has shrunk but it was still great.

Peri peri chicken flatbread. Amazing.

Short ribs. Again served a little different than last time but delicious!

This is the corvina with tomato butter sauce. The fish varies (they'll do whatever is seasonal) and is by far one of my favorite meals, period. It is the only meal I find myself getting sad when I'm almost done because I know I won't have it for another few months. I need a tomato butter sauce IV! It did not disappoint (as usual).

Tangierine Cafe

Another meal at tangeriene cafe. Bill had the shawarma again and in the name of Disboards I had something different for the first time ever, the pita sliders (1 falafel and 2 lamb- subbed an extra lamb in place of the chicken). Everything about this meal was awesome, the falafel slider could've used one more piece I think.

The Smokehouse BBQ & Brews F&G Booth

Beef brisket with jalapeño cornbread and collard greens from the smokehouse stand. The beer is a liberty ale (IPA). The collard greens left a bit to be desired but otherwise I really enjoyed this. The cornbread had a bit of bite and I was able to eat the beef with just my fork. I am sorry to say I also had the green tea flan from the Japan stand but it never stood a chance, hence the lack of picture. The green tea flavor wasn't as rich as I had hoped for (I drink genmai cha and hoji cha daily, I'm big into traditional green tea!). but it was still very tasty.

Columbia Harbour House

Lobster roll from Columbia harbor house. Yum! (Comes with a bag of chips)

Shrimp "basket"

Apple cobbler dessert. CCH is my fav CS in MK, I wasn't disappointed. When I drilled Bill he said it was good in that tone of voice that said, it's tasty but not the best. But I've created a shawarma monster so nothing will live up to the Morocco CS in his mind.

Rix Lounge

Last, I had to do a jalapeño margarita comparison since Rix Lounge at CSR serves them too. NO COMPARISON!!!!! Cava's is far superior. Where are my hunks of cucumber and peppers?!

I forgot to post that proudestmunkie earned 22 Feb Game Points and 3 Bonus Points for the buffet points!

I'm so getting the shwarma platter next time we're there. That looks amazing! And I also love CHH and that apple thing (tart? cobbler? tiny pie?) is fantastic no matter what you call it.

and Rachael, that's for being our hostess! Appreciate you filling in and the time you're devoting to this thread!
