Coming to an airline near you?

Such a shame human beings keep getting in the way of money isn't it?

I think strapping people to planks could work, better yet, maybe we could all be sedated by the airlines when we get to the door and they could slide us all into compartments like in the movie The Matrix, that way they could make more money because unconscious people don't need any room at all and don't even need to eat or drink or talk or need to be entertained or even think.

Forget the seats and straps. They could duct tape us against each other. That would be more binding and fit even more. Seriously, would a babys seat fit? I would not sit in them.Jo

What about people with long legs? I have a hard enough time folding my legs up in a regular seat.

If I had to keep my knee bent in that angle for over 30 minutes it would freeze up and I would not be able to walk.

Bad idea!

My knees would be in agony too.

I had to have an MRI done not too long ago and they put my knees in that angle. I froze up and I couldn't walk. They had to get me a wheelchair till it unfroze. Took some time and then it ached for hours after that.
I'll pay more for my seat if I need too, although I barely make a 3 hour flight as it is. :sad2:

This could make air travel much more enjoyable LOL, you checkin, and next thing you know you are at your destination!

Hey, Wall-E..Already made a forum..by me.

:D

Yes, but I am behind on the times. My forum was started for the Commodore 64 users who do not have high speed internet. We are just beginning to get Wednesday's headlines right now.

In other news, I've heard of two brothers from North Carolina who are working on some kind of flying contraption. It'll never work.

Forget the knees. Look at at her thighs from the angle in the picture. Her legs aren't even at a horizontal 90 degree angle. She's practically half standing.

Oh that's an idea! Just take out ALL the seats and have people stand. Much more room.

I fly PIT/MSP pretty often and that is about 2 hours. I can't stand it when I get a CRJ because it seems cramped. There's no way in this seat.

One thing the article doesn't mention - the seats are lighter but the weight of the additional people is going to add up. Years ago USAir pushed their seats closer together and added a couple of rows and when I would fly them to California the last row would be blocked. I heard an FA say it was because of weight & balance. So with a full fuel load they couldn't accomodate 2 more rows of passengers.
