Well, I finally got everything loaded onto the new computer and we're good to go. Jasmine is just making her lunch to head out to work so I will have all afternoon to post if I choose to!!
It's been so long I had to go back and see where I left off, so that I have everything in order......let's go.
We were up at our usual 730am time, had breakfast and we were out to the bus by 830am. The bus stop was a little further than at SSR but hey, we were lucky enough to be able to stay at AKL so we weren't about to complain. This was another MK day, ahhhh, my favorite park!!!
Here is Mini Montana, Geodoc, Snow White and Jasmine waiting for the bus. We had gotten used to being the only people at our bus stop at SSR but that was because they had stops all around the resort. At AKL the bus stops at Jambo House (where we were staying) and then onto Kidani Village.
Jasmine decided she wanted to have the camera this morning so there are a few duplicate pictures from our last MK day, but I thought I would post them anyways, you can never have too many pictures, right? So now you understand why there is another one of the horse.

Confectionary....I actually believe we may have made a purchase or two here on this particular day.
The view as we walked passed The Plaza restaurant on our way to Tomorrowland. We had decided that we would start our day here at Laugh Floor and it did not disappoint. I love this attraction.

As you can see the park was not busy at all. I think they must have just closed the doors when we got there because we were the only ones in line. It did of course get busier as we waited, but if it was half full that was it.
Our little monsters patiently waiting....
What else is there to do when your waiting but take pictures. Once the doors opened we headed in to find a seat. Sam and Ella came out (gosh they crack me up) and started their routine. Before we knew what was happening, Jasmine was on the big screen. MM and SW thought this was great that she had been chosen. Sam proclaimed that he was an expert on all world geography, so Ella asked Jasmine where she was from and she said Winnipeg Canada....Sam said "Ah yes, Winnipeg Canada, small island with a large volcano and home of the Eiffel Tower" we howled. Ella asked Jas if this was corrected and she said AHHHHH, no!!! Both their mouths fell open and Sam said "poor girl doesn't even know where she's from". It was a great way to start our day, nothing like a good laugh.
When we left LF our plan was to go straight to Toontown to get in line to see the fairies, but Buzz only had a 5 minute wait time so we decided to ride and then go see the fairies.

On the way I asked the girls if they wanted to stop and get their faces painted but apparently the draw of the fairies was too strong...maybe another day

The detail was amazing....but then again isn't everything at Disneyworld!!!

We finally made it to meet the fairies...we were all pretty excited as we had never seen them before. Today Rosetta, Iradessa and Tink were there. MM loves Rosetta's hair.
Rosetta was absolutely hilarious....she had us in stitches. The girls really enjoyed the interaction, I understand why the line takes so long, they really take their time with each guest, well worth the wait.

After we had our fairy fix, we thought we would all ride The Barnstormer since we were right there and it was only a 5 minute wait. When we got on the ride Jasmine and I were in the last row and the cast member that was working the ride knelt down beside Jasmine and said "Can I have a smile princess?" We teased her about that one let me tell you. The funny part was after we got off the ride he was on the path you take to leave the ride and he said to her "I just wanted to tell you I hope you have a magical day". Again, we teased her that the cast members were trying to pick her up.

Just thought I'd grab a shot of the speedway and thank my lucky stars I don't have to ride that anymore
The girls decided they wanted to ride the teacup and none of the adults can ride it without wanting to hurl, so off they went and we watched and took pics.

By this time we were getting a little hungry and decided we would wander over to Cosmic Ray's for lunch. When the girls got off the Teacups, Alice and the White Rabbit were there so we decided we would stop.

One of Cosmic Rays menu boards. I don't know what I was thinking but I didn't take pictures of our food here. I had cheesesteak flatbread with a water and Jasmine had a cheeseburger and fries with of course a lemonade. I don't think she drank anything but lemonade for the 3 weeks we were here
Now that we were nourished (if you can call it that) we decided we would head through Fantasyland to Frontierland for another ride on SM.

Philharmagic...yes, we stopped to watch it....another one of our favorite shows and a welcome relief to the August temperatures let me tell you

Splash Mountain wait area. We rode once and wanted to ride BTMRR, but it was down when we tried to ride so we decided we would just head back the AKL for a swim, rest and get ready for dinner at Le Cellier that evening

I know exactly what you mean....Tink was what we saw every Sunday night when we would sit down as a family to watch the Wonderful World of Disney...she was our link to the World.

Sorry about the delay, here is the finale of our dinner at EPCOT.
We were about 20 minutes early for our ADR's but we were seated within a few moments of arrival. I thought I would take a few pictures of the entryway to the restaurant. This was the lovely young woman who took our name down when we first arrived
I loved the maple leaves on the entryway into what looked like the wine cellar
Jasmine, Geodoc and Snow White....Le Cellier is separated into provinces, just like Canada...we are from Manitoba and we were seated in Manitoba...this has never happened to us before. We had a lovely young man whose name was Richard and he was wonderful.

Peg, me, and MM.....we had such a wonderful meal here
Jasmine ordered the beer and cheddar soup...it's her absolute favorite thing I think to eat anywhere at WDW, she dunks the pretzel bread in it and proclaims it decadent!!!
MM was trying to do a crossword I think and it was on Hannah Montana song lyrics....this is Jasmine finishing it off for her because MM was having a hard time with it.
Jasmine ordered the salmon, she loved it, she said it was the best salmon she's ever eaten...better than 50's prime time cafe, which earlier in the trip she proclaimed the best salmon she'd ever eaten
I ordered the NY strip with au gratin potatoes....just as yummy as I remember it to be. I have to say I really need to go outside my box on the next trip...I always order the same things whereever we go.
Jasmine was full after her soup and salmon but she ordered the creme brulee for dessert because SW was dying to try it so she gave it to her to have...isn't she a nice cousin?
I ordered the Mont Blanc and I must say was my second favorite dessert of our trip...my fav being at Tutto Italia, but this was delicious, I would have it again in a heartbeat.

After our wonderful dinner, Geodoc took the 3 girls to do a KP mission, Peg and I had no interest in doing that, our only thought was to head to the Grey Goose Slushie stand, purchase 2 and find a bench and enjoy our evening. We were staying to watch Illuminations and we just wanted to enjoy watching the people walk by. Here we are with drinks in hand....come to think of it, Jasmine stayed with Peg and I cause she took the picture!!!
I thought I would take a picture of the actual stand where we purchased those little glasses of heavenly goodness. I could go for one right now.....
We just decided to sit and be....no pictures, just watched and enjoyed Illuminations and then headed back to the resort. We heard a little knock on our bedroom door and when I opened it, MM was standing there looking up at me and said "I really want to sleep wiff Shan" (love the way she says that) so how could either of us say no to that adorable little face. I took this shot of them after MM crawled into bed and told Shan she wanted to snuggle. You can't buy memories like this
I know you can't really see anything, but this is one of my favorite pictures of our entire trip....this is how I found them when I woke up in the morning. Made me have a little weep!!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 17, 2009
Today we were all heading to Epcot, but we decided on our way there that we would split up as Geodoc, MM, and SW wanted to do another KP mission and Jasmine wanted to do some rides. Jasmine and I headed straight for Soarin and we decided against FP and just rode stand by which took about 30 minutes. After Soarin, we headed to the Seas to ride Nemo, something about this ride we quite enjoy. On our way over to TT and MS we decided to head into Character Spot...the line up was huge but we decided to wait, it was super hot and we decided after we saw all the characters that we would grab an ice cream and just sit for a few minutes at Fountain View.
Jasmine and Goofy, he got very shy when Shan went over to him and it was so funny, once he got over his shyness he just grabbed her and hugged her so hard, we laughed.

just found your TR and im loving it so far!! my DBF and I were in disney the same time as you from aug 9th-16th and we were in the same parks as you on some days..it was interesting seeing where you were in the parks compared to where we were..cant wait for more!

They have popped into my mind more than once.....once at the Liquor Mart where I purchased some Grey Goose vodka....didn't taste the same....hmmm wonder why
just found your TR and im loving it so far!! my DBF and I were in disney the same time as you from aug 9th-16th and we were in the same parks as you on some days..it was interesting seeing where you were in the parks compared to where we were..cant wait for more!

I'm so glad to have carved out another few minutes to get caught up. Lemme tell you, trying to pack a house for moving while trying to pack for a cruise all at the same time is a pain in the patootie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a couple more weeks and it'll all be over, for better or worse, and if I don't get everything done, well Castaway Cay and Serenity Bay will still be there.
