We are a little touched....I think it's that -50 degrees in the winter with the wind chill....it affects our brains

Cause we didn't have one in August Seriously, it hasn't been in Manitoba for all that long, not sure about the rest of the country, I believe it's a civic holiday, all the stores are open, as a matter of fact, Jas is working

It's really not enjoyable, we had a Korean exchange student in 2006 from beginning of January until end of February and it never rose above -50 the entire time she was here. Her dad kept calling and asking why I was letting them go to school....I don't ever remember our schools being closed down, not in the city. When it reaches a certain temperature with the wind chill the buses don't run, but children who can walk or drive are expected to be at school. We're a hearty bunch up hereOr stupid for staying

And this time I'm gonna do it right! Which, of course, means they're gonna probably have a cow when they see the price.

So the buses don't run, but they expect teenagers to drive to school? Or, what's the driving age up there? But even so..... WALKING to school when the buses aren't running sounds like a serious recipe for disaster!!

I guess I'll go find the YouTube of the O Canada video so I can see just what kind of nuts I've become friends with!! LOL... now I have visions of you, my darling Queen, in that same outfit Marty's wearing, yelling "sweeeeeeeep!!! sweeeeeep!!!!"

We've missed you too!! Thanks, I'm pretty proud of myself to be ready this early. This week is a little crazy, tomorrow I have to go to a rent it store and pick up cups and saucers, drop them off at the church for my BF's mom's funeral on Wed. I have a couple of doctor's appts on Wed and Thurs, Jasmine's hair, manicure, pedicure and my manicure and pedicure. At then end of all that, I have to actually get all those nicely laundered clothes into the suitcases. Whew, I'm exhausted just thinking about it, but it will help the week go quickly....oh and I think we're doing dinner one evening with Peg and crew before they leave. I guess we are going to be away from each for 2 whole days I love my sister.

I noticed you sent me a PM, so I'm off to read that and respond. I'm so excited cause I know it's our plans to meet

But if I know you, you'll just find a way to twist them just a bit further. Might as well.... they have to have something to tell there therapist about later in life. Ventured over to Peg's last evening to pick up our Mickey Mail Jasmine and Thomas were out for cruise night (Thomas' older brother let him take his sooped up Cady) so off I went to pick up my own little piece of heaven, visited for a while, Mini Montana is still saying she's gonna sit with me on EE, and I'm doing my best to talk SW into doing RnRC, I'm trying the bribing factor, but still not working

I asked Snow if she changed her mind yet about staying in Winnipeg until the Monday and flying down with Jasmine and I....I got a resounding NO.....MM would do it in a heartbeat

Huh. I wonder why. Well, not really. Much.

Got home and just sat and stared at my mail When the kids got home I really wanted them to share in my joy....no....they just make fun of me I kept saying do you guys want to see the luggage tags...no, that's ok, we've seen them before....what is up with that???

Jasmine and Thomas both work this afternoon so I have high hopes of getting the final packing list of clothes completed. I think it will make it much easier now that everything is hanging and I have a visual of what goes with what...and there will be no one around to make snide comments.

Wow, you are so organized! I can't even BEGIN any of the packing until we tell the boys - and that won't be until three weeks before we go LOL

Hope all our Canadian friends are enjoying their long weekend....we've had lousy weather but hey, you take what you get right? The summers seem so short here and in Manitoba they are usually amazingly hot and sunny, not so much this year.....that's why we're going to FLORIDA That, and the fact we're addicted to WDW.

ok I thought I'd better post pictures of our toes and luggage as today I'm really feeling the crunch. Tried to get some packing done today but spent a lot of time booking a client to WDWThen Queen came over and we hashed out what we are each paying for out of the Garden Grocer order. She , of course, came over hungry so I had to feed her too
We did get a bit of packing done and then the girls had their swimming lessons and then we had a neighbor come over for dinner who is going to look after the house when we're gone. Had to give her all the info and we had a lovely dinner (Queen's chicken marinade)
Yesterday we went to the airport because a 1945 Lancaster Bomber was coming in for a visit. It arrived an hour late but enjoyed a quick peek during a fly by and then when she landed.

We'll be leaving on this jetplane on Saturday, well maybe not this exact one but you get the drift!
