We are coming the end of June for 5 days, I'm looking at prices now for hotels and they're more than I was expecting. Will the prices come down closer to the dates? Or should I be booking now? Any thoughts from the vetrans?

I would book now and then just keep checking - most hotels allow you to cancel and re-book so there is no need to lock in to a price. Chances are though the price will continue to rise until your arrival date. We always booked well in advance as hotel demand around the parks is always high it seems.

I would also book now so that you know you have a place to stay and, if the prices do go down, you can re-book as long you don't select one of those non-adjustable rates/reservations (make sure to read the fine print). I don't necessarily think prices will go down, but it depends a little on when you're going. The end of June is considered summer season when there are a lot of visitors from away (i.e., needing hotel rooms), and Pixar Pier is slated to open at the end of June. If you're going during Jun 20 to 23, that's when VidCon is happening and that will, most likely, impact hotel/motel availability (and prices).

I see you're coming the end of June. But here is the current Disney Promotion.

I have no idea if Disney will have one for the end of June into the summer months.
I have just begun watching this year for trends in when promotions are announced.
So far it seems Disney puts them out on a Wednesday.

If your dates are flexible and you were planning to stay on-site, see if the promotion is for you.

Book now but book with someone you can cancel without penalty. Usually that means through the hotel company website. But always check back and look for sales.

Always book in advance prices usually go up. Check getawaytoday.com as they have 3rd and 4th night free deals and free breakfast etc. delas.

Book now!
We have waited until just a couple of months before and found the hotels we wanted were full - and that was off peak.
If you want a specific hotel, you'd better book asap.

Thanks everyone!

GenGen22 - I just came across that website from Disney Tourist Blog. They have some good rates. Have you used them before? I'm assuming the prices are non refundable unless you buy the peace of mind add on?

Don't wait. Book a hotel room now. The rates will only go up the closer you get to your travel dates.

Yes I use getawaytoday.com all the time. You can get a refund if you don't pay the piece of mind plan but there's a fee I believe. I would call and ask them to confirm. I never pay for the piece of mind plan as my plans are usually set.

It sounds like you're arriving just after Pixar Pier opens so I'd reserve asap and then check prices. I find Marriott brand hotels will really drop prices if they're not fully booked close to your arrival.
