I am going back to teaching after several years of being a stay-at-home mom. Can any of you suggest a brand of shoe that would be comfortable to being on my feet all day? I seem to have foot issues when I wear Payless, Target-type shoes. lol

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

I wear Converse. Mine are postal cross-trainers, and they are the comfyest I've tried yet. They make shoes for the non-postal work market too.

I dress "corporate casual" at work, mostly pants. I wear Sketchers, in fact, I think I have a Sketchers problem. I think I have 15 pair.

I'm on my feet a lot too at work. I work for a Physical Therapy Outpatient office. I love my Dansko clogs. They are a bit on the high side but I've had my clogs for 2 years now and they still feel brand new!

When I taught I wore Clarks almost exclusively. I wore Easy Spirit before that but once I had kids I stopped wearing heels and Clarks were great.

I too work on my feet, and I've found that if you want comfortable shoes you are going to have to pay. In the end, its worth it to spend $50-60 per pair...your feet will thank you.

I have two pair of Clarks and two pair of Easy Spirit that I love.

I am a nurse, and on my feet for 13 hours a day. I second dansko. I actually have Mary janes. They are a bit more expensive than some others, but are super comfortable and hold up really well.

I like my Merrels...DSW carries them so you may find them at a sort of budget price. I like the "Me too" brand for dressier styles.

I think I'll be the third, nurse here who wears Dansko. I tried several other shoes first thinking I needed something "cushy" for my feet, but by the end of the day my feet hurt really bad. Dansko, no problems.

Another recommendation for Dansko clogs! Best thing in the world for your back!

I work in retail so I never sit down! Clarks is my absolute favorite! They are expensive but you can get deals on QVC, at Shoebuy w/ codes & I just had a 20% coupon form my local Clarks store.:)

For professional shoes I like Sofft. They are not cheapest, but are very comfortable. Sometimes you can find good deals at DSW or at Nordstrom during the half-yearly sale.

While I love my Danskos, my favorite shoes are my zcoils. They are pretty ugly, but my feet have never felt so wonderful. They are expensive but well worth the price. If you can't stand how ugly they are, Danskos are the next best thing!

Born.

Also, I have sandals by Josef Seibel.

I'm not buying any more cheap shoes.

Love, love, love my Josef Seibel clogs - so much I have a brown pair and a black pair.

I also wore Skechers for a long time.

Thanks for these great suggestions! I don't mind spending money for good shoes as long as my feet are comfy. :thumbsup2
