We are doing the Dream in April and want to do Comfort Suites option but when I look at the rates and pick the advance pay option it says $352.94 and that includes estimated taxes and charges but does that mean it includes this energy charge and other service charge? So many people have posted that they only paid $150 or $250 for rooms there but is that before all these charges? So you guys who have done this, do you pay more when you get there or is the price you are quoted the price you pay? I am so confused. :confused3 Thank you.

The price is highly dependent on when you're going. April is still prime season there, so the rate will be higher. That said, if your rate of $352.94 includes the energy surcharge ($15.95/person) and housekeeping gratuity ($5.00/person), that's pretty good. You'll have to look carefully at the fine print to be sure -- or call the 800 number and ask.

We're going in September, and the base room rate with AAA discount is $143.10. The taxes and surcharges are $70.52, for a grand total of $213.62. Even with only two in our party, that is significantly less than it would cost us to book the Aquaventure excursion ($169/person).

I did the advance pay option and that is ALL that my credit card was charged. The amount given at the end of your transaction is your final total unless stated otherwise.

We set sail on the Dream in 16 days :cheer2:

Don't forget to factor in taxi charges to and from Comfort Suites. Sometimes the price is not tha different.

Well with the advance pay option, it would be $352.00 and then about $32 for cab ride so that's $384. For the Disney excursion it will be 3 adults $169 each and one child $116, which comes to $623.00 that's a $239 difference, even if we grab a snack it's still way cheaper.

Yep, a lot cheaper. You can also call the hotel directly to firm up the price.

I have done it twice, taking two daughters without daddy! It is really so easy and so much cheaper. Rates vary, put in AAA rate. They didn't check my AAA card(but I did take it with me). The second time we went we went for free as I had comfort suites points(just had to pay the extras and they ended up only being about $40). For lunch, we got a nacho, HUGE, and a kids meal and we had more than enough for the three of us. Just go to Atlantis main lobby when you want to leave, they will grab you a taxi back.

In April our cab ride for 3 was $12, I tipped a little. There are several cabbies waiting outside for the attack so you can bargain for the best deal. Note they will say they don't have change if you give them a $20, so I caught on quick. For the return I had the exact amount ready. The cab ride back is much easier as the Atlantis staff will call the cab for you so no cabbies laying in wait for you.
