Just wondering if anyone has upgraded to Comfort Plus seating on Delta? Is there a noticeable amount of extra leg room? Also wondering if it tends to fill up fully - ie, if the window and aisle are booked, does the middle seat often book up? I ask because I fly Westjet a fair amount and often upgrade to Plus seating and find that if the window and aisle seat book, typically no-one books the middle seat. However Westjet doesn't offer seat upgrades based on points programs like other airlines do and it is all pay for upgrade, so that may be why. Thinking about upgrading for our flight from MSP to MCO and just wanted to make an informed choice if I am paying extra to upgrade.

I decided to spring for one on the way home from California, a window seat. There is more leg room but the seat itself is not bigger. A big guy sat in the middle seat and I ended up being uncomfortable. They upgrade their elite flyers to these seats for free so they rarely go empty.

Back in April we got a free upgrade to comfort plus because they cancelled our 2 1/2 hour round trip non-stop to Florida from Boston and stuck us on a 8 hour flight by way of Atlanta, both ways.

It didn't feel like We had any extra room anywhere. You get a free drink; but you have to get the stewardess attention for that drink, don't hold your breathe. Save your money, it's not worth it, don't pay extra for the comfort plus seats.
After the experience we had with Delta back in April and every other time we've flown with them; they've always cancelled our flights 2 months before the flight, we're going to try to avoid them from now on.

We got lucky for April 2016 when JetBlue tickets went on sale back on July 8th; we jumped on the google flight bandwagon/lottery.

Good Luck All,
Joe

The last time we flew we were joking with some of the dudes in Comfort Plus that they didn't look comfortable at all. They were just as jammed in as the regular seats. The only true advantage seems to be that the seats are near the front of the plane.

I just flew comfort plus from SDF-MSP-SNA. I have very long legs and loved the extra space in Delta Comfort. It was well worth it for me with the extra leg room

I have long legs. In regular economy, they are often (depending on the plane type) wedged tightly into the seat in front of me. In Delta Comfort Plus, I have a couple of inches. That said, some of the seats are actually smaller. I now Google the plane type and check out the seat recommendations before booking. It is almost always completely full because Delta upgrades.

Regular Delta Economy seats have a seat pitch of 30-32 inches, Comfort + seats have a pitch of 34-35 inches, depending on the plane. With Comfort + you also get priority boarding, dedicated overhead space, better snacks, free drinks, and complimentary premium entertainment.
