in the early planning stages of a December 2018 trip. There will be three of us, me, my Sister and 17 year old niece. I am going to try to rent points to stay DVC again.

I have narrowed my possible places (depending on availability) Poly studio, BLT studio or 1 bedroom, WL studio or 1 bedroom, or Beach club studio or 1 bedroom.

Can anyone share any experiences with having to use the pullout sofa in any of these for at least 5 nights?

Suggestions on making them more comfortable...

I am petite 5'1" and about 120 lbs. I sleep on a FIRM mattress at home and I LIKE the sofa bed. In fact, when I stay with others, I ask for the sofa bed for myself.

I've noticed that on the Your First Visit site when they do resort room reviews they seem to always check the sofa bed for comfort level as well as measure it with a tape measure. With pictures! Might want to check and see if they have reviews for the rooms you'd like to stay at.

Our adult DS has spent 7 nights on the BCV Sleep sofa several times. He states it is not as comfortable as his bed, but good

Our family has used the sofa beds at Poly 2 weeks and Boardwalk 1 week and they were good!

The few times we've needed the sofa bed, it was uncomfortable. We pulled the mattress out and put it on the floor. That was quite nice.

If you and your sister are planning on sharing the actual bed then in Poly, Beach Club, Boardwalk, and wilderness lodge (boulder ridge only) studios there is a pull down bed. I am 5’6” and sleep on it fine. It also has a real mattress. You could put your niece in that and not even have to use the sofa bed.

I stayed at the one at SSR for 4 nights ( I was in my 30s at the time ) and it was not comfortable at all. After the 4 nights I thought I would always feel the middle bar in my side.

I used to always sleep on the pullouts and thought they were fine. I also slept in the Murphy bed as well and thought it was just as comfy. I’m only 5’7”, but the Murphy bed was nice.

We have used the sofa bed several times at OKW. They were always uncomfortable. The last stay was over a week long, and we wound up buying an air mattress to use. It was much more comfortable than the sofa bed!

I agree...the new sofa beds are fantastic.

My DD slept on the sofa bed in a studio at BLT. She thought it was comfortable and didn't mind sleeping there at all.

My son is 32 years old 6'3" and 270 and he never complained and he used the one at Poly and BWV for a week!
