A lot of people have asked about the Comfort Inn LBV so I decided to post my review. My husband and I usually stay at Comfort Inns when we travel. This is one of the nicest and friendliest ones that I have ever stayed at. First, when I was booking the hotel, I found an awesome deal that cannot be beat. It is even cheaper than Expedia. We paid $44.10 per night before taxes for a non-smoking room with two double beds. We only needed a room for one night and we could not beat the price. To find this deal, go to www.choicehotels.com and select the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Then, select "special internet rate" from the drop down box and it will give you this awesome rate if you book online. I have heard that it has gone up about .75 per night since I booked my reservations, but it is still an awesome deal.

First, I want to tell everyone that if you do not like Comfort Inns then you probably won't like this hotel. Even though it has perks that ordinary Comfort Inn hotels do not have, the rooms are almost identical to every other Comfort Inn except the decor is slightly different. If you love Comfort Inns, then this is the place to stay.

There are so many great things to say that the pros outweigh the cons. First, this is considered a resort. Unlike any other Comfort Inn that I have stayed at in the past, it is gated with a security on guard at all times. Also, this hotel is very close to the Crossroads shopping center and only three miles from WDW. The hotel does provide free transportation to WDW parks, Universal, and Sea World. The schedule is listed on www.comfortinnorlando.com. You can also see pictures of the hotel.

All of the staff were great and very friendly. We even got a free goodie bag/welcome bag upon check in. They gave us snacks, Pepto-Bismal tablets, Advil, and other things, which came in very handy. I have only been to one other hotel where they gave out goodie bags. The other hotel was a Holiday Inn Express near Gastonia, North Carolina.

Also, in the mornings, they do provide a free continental breakfast, which includes cereal, juice, milk, coffee, oatmeal, fresh fruit, muffins, and toast. They have a breakfast bar, which costs $5.95. You can tell the difference between the free breakfast and the continental breakfast because they are on opposite sides of the restaurant. Also, each room has a mini refrigerator and there is a store in the Comfort Inn where you can buy snacks and drinks.

Even though there is only one con to staying at this hotel, I would definitely stay here again! If you are going to stay here, request an odd numbered room that is not facing the highway. We faced the interstate and could hear highway noise. Other than that, it is a great hotel for the price. I have never stayed at such a nice Comfort Inn for such a low price. Upon checkout, we got the receipt and it was under $50 for the room. I have never paid $50 for a hotel room. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there if I was ever in the Orlando area.

Thanks for the great review. We will be staying there for 4 nights from 28-31 Dec, and its good to know we have made a good choice.

I agree with the great price. We thought it was great value when we booked too.

Thanks for letting us know your views. We'll be staying here in 4 weeks time - really looking forward to it - not that we'll be in the rooms for long each day!!!!

yes, thanks very much for this report.....after booking and having to cancel a few accommodations (ones we really preferred), we ended up with this hotel....we got a good rate of $44.14 per night per room (we needed two) which includes taxes.....we've stayed at Choice properties before so we were fine with this but your review is very welcome indeed.....

We are driving in from Georgia on November 16. I am looking for a place for one night and this sounds like it might be perfect. Can you give me an address for this hotel or directions. We are driving in from Atlanta and will be on I-4. Thanks.

Their address is 8442 Palm Parkway, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32836 and their telephone number is 407-996-7300. You can get directions on their website, which is www.comfortinnorlando.com. I had never stayed at this hotel prior to making reservations, but we really loved it. The pictures really do not do this hotel justice because I found it a lot prettier and nicer than the pictures. Plus, you can't beat the price for staying so close to WDW.

We were debating to stay off-site next May. Your review gave us another choice to check out. Thanks. Usually I hear not so great reviews on this hotel.
It is nice to read a positive review.

Thank you. We won't be leaving Georgia until around 2:00pm and it will take 7-8 hours to drive depending on traffic. So, I think that would be a perfect spot for one night prior to check in at POR.

I just booked Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista for $39.99 a night through Travelzoo. :rotfl: I called 877-224-5377 and asked for the Travelzoo special. All the details are at Travelzoo.com under Orlando hotel specials. We are going December 4-10 to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday!!! :cheer2: I can't wait to see the Christmas lights and decorations. :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

is it more expensive because we have 2 adults & 2 kids? I am getting a quote of £79 for next feb 20th-mar 6 2006. I would love to find a nice basic clean hotel for around $50.

Hi, I guess I should have clarified the dates for the special. They are from 10-31-05 to 2-10-06. Peak holiday dates around Thanksgiving and Christmas are more. If you go to Travelzoo.com and click on Lodging Specials Orlando you will see the link for the special. :wave2: Good luck, but it looks like your dates won't work with this particular special.

How long ago did you stay at Comfort Inn LBV? I have reservations for this Dec.4-10. Your review sounds great!

I can do you one better on that $39.95 rate for Comfort Inn. Print out the rate on travel zoo making sure you aren't in the "holiday" higher rate and then go to ComfortInn.com On the Comfort Inn site they have a "best internet price" garantee.
Book on the Comfort Inn site and then fill out the online form and they will match the lower price plus 10%.
I hope this helps someone.

Do you know if they allow dogs there? Friends from up north were considerng the Sheraton Safari, but after learning they allow dogs they opted to look for something else..

At these prices I'm sure they would LOVE it - minus the a dog problem!! :flower:

They do allow animals, but it is a $10 per day surcharge.

It will be two weeks tomorrow. We traveled from Atlanta to Orlando on October 19 and stayed at Comfort Inn LBV that night because we had reservations for POR from October 20 to October 23. We really needed a room for one night. I really did not know what to expect. It had been three years since we had last been to Orlando and we stayed on WDW property the entire time. I will be honest and tell you that I was not very impressed by the pictures of the hotel. I was just happy to find a hotel for that price. Rob, my husband, and I usually stay at Comfort Inns during our travels to visit his parents in Delaware and we really like the chain.

When we got there, my opinion changed. It is in a great location. There are restaurants and other hotels all around. It is only a five minute or less drive to the Crossroads and you could probably walk there. There is a restaurant called Angus House of Beef (I think that is what it is called) about a two minute walk from the hotel. I know that there is a Pizzeria Uno (one of our favorite chain restaurants that is not in Atlanta) and a Chevy's Mexican Restaurant (a chain restaurant that once was in Atlanta, but not any longer) in the Crossroads.

The best thing about this hotel is that you get resort perks for non-resort prices. This is a gated resort with a security guard on duty at all times. You must check in with him to be able to get to the hotel. I felt really safe. Also, they give you a parking pass when you check in. There is also free transportation to not only WDW, but Universal and Sea World. The schedule is on their website - www.comfortinnorlando.com. It is similar to a Value or Moderate WDW hotel because the rooms are on the outside. I am sorry this is so long. The hotel is very nice for the price. We were really impressed and everyone loved it a lot. This is truly one of the nicest Comfort Inns that we have ever stayed at and my husband and I usually stay at a Comfort Inn when traveling to visit family and friends. If I was ever in Orlando again (even if I was not visiting WDW), this would be my first choice because of the price, the location, and the customer service. It is a really great bargain!

Thanks, I feel better. I normally don't worry much about where we will stay but my mother-in-law will be with us as well as my husband's uncle. I didn't want to put them in a dump. Thanks for reassuring me. :)

Has anyone stayed in one of their rooms with bunk beds? ...wondering what they are like.

If you will do a search for Comfort Inn LBV with the search at the top of this page, you will get all previous treads about the Comfort Inn LBV. I was researching it the other night and remember reading about the bunks. Hope this helps. :sunny:

Our family of 5 stayed in one of the family fun suites with bunk beds this past February. It is one large room with an area sectioned off for the children. The walls of this section go almost to the ceiling, but not quite. In the kid's section there are 3 beds (a bunkbed on one side, a single on the other) a TV and VCR, and a small dresser. The adults get a queen bed, along with a table and chairs and small refrigerator. We enjoyed the room, but we were at the parks all day long. It would get crowded if you had to spend a lot of time in the room. We thought it was a good deal. Loved the location and made good use of the free breakfast. We didn't use their transportation as we rented a car. As others have said, make sure to get a room facing away from the interstate.
